We liked everything, great location, wonderful breakfast, the room and bed were comfortable, they cleaned the room during our 4 night stay, everything was clean and organized, I highly recommend it, they also provide transportation to pick you up and take you to the airport. When we return to Cape Town we want to stay at this hotel again. thank you very much

I didn’t like that I had to leave!!

The best value for money. I loved the rooms, Uncle Peter was friendly and the location of the hotel is close to the City which was a positive for me because I didn’t have a car but was able to experience the city without worrying too much about the Uber prices.

Our stay was honestly the absolute best value for money! The staff is very nice, kind, available to answer any question and help. The bedroom was super quite, spacious, even with the tv. The location is absolutely great, in a quiet neighbourhood. What else to say? Absolutely perfect!

The staff were very friendly and approachable. Everything was clean and neat. Even the communual bathrooms. The hotel is very close the multiple restaurants and also multiple shops for groceries.

The lodge is in very good location, close to the beach and you can freely take a walk or go for a run. Shops and restaurants are close by. The hosts are fantastic very sociable and always willing to help. This is my go to place

Could have more towel hooks in bathroom (especially for two people) however this is a very minor point. Still a 5 star stay for me.

Very friendly, kind and helpful staff. Nice continental breakfast. Rooms just as in pictures. Lovely beds. Mini fridge is great. Very homey.

The Altona Lodge is situated in a nice & quiet neighbourhood. There´s usually a few parking spots right on the street as well (public ones). As far as south africa goes, it´s probably as safe as it´s ever going to get. 30 minutes walk to waterfront or 20 to the city center. Hosts were super friendly and helpful.

The staff was absolutely fantastic. They were helpful, kind and accommodating. I booked a room for a friend coming in from another county. He isn't fortunate enough to own a phone. Catherine and Michael relayed to us that he arrived and even set up a phone call for us. They went above and beyond! The room and the location were great as well.

Tv is having niflix channels only,I was hoping to watch sabc channels as well.There was bursting water pipe at the street so I wished the place have Jojo tank interms of emergency as I have been the whole day without bathing.

Everything was excellent in a room and there was too much privacy.

The location is amazing, Green Point close to most attractions. I enjoyed walking and it made for a better experience. Michael was amazing with recommendations of things to do and when to do them. If you catch him on a good day there might be an art class in the courtyard. Amazing breakfast selection, it felt very homely. Moffat was at hand as well and took extra care of me when I fell sick. I look forward to coming back for a longer stay.

We arrived earlier than check in just to drop off our bags, only to be advised to check in and wait for less than 7 minutes for our room to get ready, which was amazing!! Michael, the host was so friendly and welcoming and gave us tips on how to navigate the area. Moffat was very helpful, hands on and friendly,he was like a brother to me and really made me feel home. My Daughter got herself a very cute Cat to cuddle with. Located in a very quite and safe area, just a walking distance to the park, stadium,restaurants, waterfront and city sightseeing bus stop. Freshly breakfast was served daily, no loadshading and very good Wifi connection. Place very very clean inside out with tea/coffe facility available for the whole day, rooms very spacious with comfortable beds.

Nothing except having to leave

This was my 7th stay at Altona, I would not consider staying anywhere else while in Cape Town. Catherine and her wonderful team take care of everything to perfection. The house is beautiful, the location is ideal within easy walking distance through the beautiful Greenpoint park and turning right along the promenade to the Waterfront or by turning left along the promenade to Seapoint, the views are truly stunning.

I loved staying in Altona Lodge, the place is very beautiful, the staff are friendly and helpful. Michael the host was very kind and gave me many tips in what to do in Cape Town and surrondings. The breaksfast was amazing, very good one. The neighborhood is calm and peaceful with historical houses, near main atractions in the City, very easy to walk and catch buses, uber or other means of transport., near restaurants, etc. I really recommend to stay there ! Everything was perfect!!
