There's nothing I can think of. Altona Lodge exceeds my expectations in every way

The lodge is a great place to relax. It's not located at a busy or noisy street. It offers enough spaces for people to sit together outside the rooms. Everywhere in the lodge is so clean and nicely decorated, thus exuding a comfy atmosphere. They offer you water, tea and coffee 24/7 in the dining room. You can also use some utensils if you wish to bring your own food. They offer a nice breakfast like breads, jams, boiled eggs, muffins and a variety of fruits. The room is cleaned every day, making the stay at the Lodge even more comfortable. It also offers a safe in the room (they really think everything that a traveler needs). More than that, the staff were all so friendly. They'll be happy to give you tips for what to see and visit in Cape Town. One more thing, Michael told me that the Lodge had recently invested in a solar panel. This means, you don't have to worry about the power cuts aka loadshedding, which is really great! I can recommend Altona Lodge and would be coming back there if I visit Cape Town again.

Location is very good, in 15 minutes walk from waterfront but very quiet tho, which is quite important for good sleep. Shop and alco shop nearby. A lot of restaurants nearby. Hot water and no problems with electricity. Good breakfast with eggs. The host is very friendly and nice. Nice cat Tom Ford. Will definitely return.

The only parking available is in the street, but we always had a place to park even though we arrived very late at night and our vehicle was always safe.

They catered specifically for our needs as a family with small children and provided drinks and breakfast suited to our needs. They also accommodated the fact that we had a conference until late in the evening and provided coffee, tea and hot chocolate facilities for when we returned. The room was very clean, the breakfast was amazing, the staff was very friendly and helpful and the lodge has a warm, happy atmosphere. Definitely value for money.

6 nights were not enough

Day one I felt welcomed, day two I was home 🏡 . Staff? There were no staff members only family cos they are all family there are no bosses or workers. Breakfast was excellent 👌. As I said I was home I even had an option of cooking 🍳. Even the 😺 is welcoming 🤗 . It was joy staying with everyone even other guests from other countries were fantastic and tried communication in other ways since some didn't speak English. Thanks Altona family for welcoming me and babies with open arms. Don't miss us long we are coming back soon. Love Sindisiwe, Nkosimphile and Nkanyiso 😘

Hot water took a while to come through and was slow in hand shower and basin. Easy to hear voices in the passage.

The friendly staff and reception were lovely and helpful. Cleanliness was evident. Extremely convenient for the running race. Security was good. Parking was adequate.
