Very lovely place to stay! The room is extremely nice, everything is very clean. It's kept clean, feels like home from home there. The location is excellent. A nice quiet spot not far from the town center. You can walk to V&A Waterfront, Sea Point Promenade, Stadium, downtown and Long Street, supermarkets... Very friendly owner and staff are helping you with any inquiries you may have. Owner was so nice and helped a lot on suggesting and booking activity. I was travelling solo and I got all help from owner on the area information and activity details. He will arrange taxi as well also he will help you on anything on anytime actually. I felt safe and secured. I am grateful! I sincerely recommend "Altona Lodge" accommodation in Cape Town! I left Cape Town with beautiful memories!

The matrass on my bed. Felt uncomfortable and "thin / flat".

The property was carpeted and wonderfully old fashioned. Unfortunately, I only have tiles in my house and a carpet brings back childhood memories.

Location: beautiful, quiet and safe neighbourhood. 15 mins walk to the waterfront. Many shops, cafes and restaurants are just around the corner. Rooms: traditional, decent size, spacious bathroom, comfortable bed, had everything I needed. Cleanliness: excellent, spotless, daily cleaning is available upon request. Breakfast: breads and pastries, fresh fruits, boiled eggs, jams, yogurts, a good variety for Continental breakfast. You get much more of what you pay for! Staff: everyone is very friendly, professional and helpful. A special thank you to Catherine, Michael and Muffit (and Thomasina!) for looking after me and making me feel at home. For sure, Altona Lodge is the place to be back!

Friendly and helpful owners. The lodge looks beautiful and has nice, quiet rooms. It's not far from Restaurants and shops. The breakfast is enjoyable.

We liked everything, great location, wonderful breakfast, the room and bed were comfortable, they cleaned the room during our 4 night stay, everything was clean and organized, I highly recommend it, they also provide transportation to pick you up and take you to the airport. When we return to Cape Town we want to stay at this hotel again. thank you very much

The best value for money. I loved the rooms, Uncle Peter was friendly and the location of the hotel is close to the City which was a positive for me because I didn’t have a car but was able to experience the city without worrying too much about the Uber prices.

Our stay was honestly the absolute best value for money! The staff is very nice, kind, available to answer any question and help. The bedroom was super quite, spacious, even with the tv. The location is absolutely great, in a quiet neighbourhood. What else to say? Absolutely perfect!

The staff were very friendly and approachable. Everything was clean and neat. Even the communual bathrooms. The hotel is very close the multiple restaurants and also multiple shops for groceries.

The lodge is in very good location, close to the beach and you can freely take a walk or go for a run. Shops and restaurants are close by. The hosts are fantastic very sociable and always willing to help. This is my go to place

Could have more towel hooks in bathroom (especially for two people) however this is a very minor point. Still a 5 star stay for me.

Very friendly, kind and helpful staff. Nice continental breakfast. Rooms just as in pictures. Lovely beds. Mini fridge is great. Very homey.

The Altona Lodge is situated in a nice & quiet neighbourhood. There´s usually a few parking spots right on the street as well (public ones). As far as south africa goes, it´s probably as safe as it´s ever going to get. 30 minutes walk to waterfront or 20 to the city center. Hosts were super friendly and helpful.

The staff was absolutely fantastic. They were helpful, kind and accommodating. I booked a room for a friend coming in from another county. He isn't fortunate enough to own a phone. Catherine and Michael relayed to us that he arrived and even set up a phone call for us. They went above and beyond! The room and the location were great as well.

Tv is having niflix channels only,I was hoping to watch sabc channels as well.There was bursting water pipe at the street so I wished the place have Jojo tank interms of emergency as I have been the whole day without bathing.

The location is amazing, Green Point close to most attractions. I enjoyed walking and it made for a better experience. Michael was amazing with recommendations of things to do and when to do them. If you catch him on a good day there might be an art class in the courtyard. Amazing breakfast selection, it felt very homely. Moffat was at hand as well and took extra care of me when I fell sick. I look forward to coming back for a longer stay.

We arrived earlier than check in just to drop off our bags, only to be advised to check in and wait for less than 7 minutes for our room to get ready, which was amazing!! Michael, the host was so friendly and welcoming and gave us tips on how to navigate the area. Moffat was very helpful, hands on and friendly,he was like a brother to me and really made me feel home. My Daughter got herself a very cute Cat to cuddle with. Located in a very quite and safe area, just a walking distance to the park, stadium,restaurants, waterfront and city sightseeing bus stop. Freshly breakfast was served daily, no loadshading and very good Wifi connection. Place very very clean inside out with tea/coffe facility available for the whole day, rooms very spacious with comfortable beds.
