It was a blast staying with Adrienne and Bernie. The house and the room had erverything you need and wish for when on vacation in Plett. The rooms were very comfy. Very close to the beach. The hosts had a lot of information for our trips and helped with the planning. We even got our clothes washed and dried for a few rand.

Stay 02/24/24-02/26/24 What a wonderful stay with Bernie and Adrienne. So friendly, attentive and helpful, with very good information for activities in the area. This is what you want as a host. Very nice atmosphere at Bayside Lodge. We felt very comfortable here and will definitely book with Bernie and Adrienne again on a future stop in Plettenberg. Eckhard and Maria Germany

Adrienne and Bernie were excellent hosts. They went out of their way for our vegetarian breakfast requirements and were very helpful everyday planning our day trips. We felt like we were at home.

Nothing- it was a lovely visit

The hosts were amazing. Adrienne provided lots of local information and was so helpful. Berni also provided some additional input. The location is excellent with the beach so close and a couple of local restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Breakfast was served with a smile and the offering was plentiful with fresh fruit salad, pancakes and a cooked breakfast with home made breads. Our hosts took an interest in our daily activities and provided helpful input where necessary. There was an outside pool which we couldn't try due to the weather.

Bernie and Adrienne are the perfect hosts. They are so enthusiastic and helpful. They gave us lots of detailed information about the local area, hikes and restaurants. The breakfast spread is very generous. We liked the nice quiet location and only 3 minutes walk from the beach.

That we didn't stay longer

Best stay during our trip to Cape Town and garden route (and we stayed in 7 different guest houses). The host are super friendly and they pay lot of attention to detail with decoration and small, but useful details in the room. Superb breakfast which includes continental and traditional english, very clean rooms and facilities. Nice and safe location with walking distance to restaurants and market. Beach is just 3 min from the lodge.

Spacious room and lovely garden/ pool area to relax. Great amenities and super clean. Amazing host who made us feel very welcome and gave us great recommendations for hikes. We were able to walk to nearby restaurants, rather than having to take a taxi everywhere. Easy walk also to the nearby beach.

Adrienne and Bernard were really friendly and very helpful with walking and eating out tips. Breakfast was lovely - lots of continental choices and big cooked breakfast - all fresh and delicious. Lovely garden, dining room and shared guest area in the house. We stayed in the cottage which was cosy and private.

Adrienne and Bernie are wonderful hosts who couldn’t do enough for us. Excellent location close to Robberg beach and Nature Reserve. Beach chairs, parasols, body boards etc are all readily available along with beach bag and towels. They have thought of everything to make your holiday special. Delicious breakfasts with excellent choice and so kind catering for my husband who has coeliac with delicious pancakes and muffins. Lovely pool to relax in and cool down. When locked out of our car they went out of there way to assist , giving up their valuable time. Extremely helpful and informative about the area with maps and books all available. It is exceptional and we definitely hope to return one day.

We loved the property, the breakfast and relaxed but professional approach from both Adrianne and Bernie. Some land clearance nearby by a noisy digger interrupted the serenity for an hour or so but with no impact on our stay

A pretty and private property within a gentle walk of Robberg Beach. lovley couple who made us feel at home. we stayed for 9 nights, our longest stay this trip. we had room to relax, great clean pool and the gardens added colour.

Bayside lodge is a supremely comfortable stay. From the moment I arrived my every need my catered for by the kindest hosts Adrienne and Bernie. My room was perfect frankly and I would stay there again for sure.

If we really had to criticize something, it would be the hand shower, which in our opinion is not optimally placed.

We received a warm welcome, so we felt welcome immediately. Finch Cottage is very well appointed with lovely biscuits and a sherry as a house gift. Very good breakfast that leaves nothing to be desired. Bernie shared his knowledge of birds with us and both of them gave us good tips for excursions. I informed Adrienne that it was my wife's birthday during our stay. She organized a birthday cake, which the staff serenaded over. In addition, Adrienne professionally removed a tick from my wife's leg. When saying goodbye, there were tips for the onward journey. Adrienne and Bernie were the best hosts during our four week trip. Should we come back to Plettenberg Bay, Bayside Lodge will be our first choice.

Nothing, everything was perfect.

It was a wonderful stay for a family with two kids. The rooms were very clean and we had everything we needed. For cold nights there are heated blankets as well as heated carpet, it was a perfect stay in Plettenberg. The hosts Adrienne and Bernie are such lovely and helpful persons. They gave us a lot of information regarding activities in and around Plettenberg. Breakfast was delicious. And our kids loved the two little dogs. We would definitely come again. Thank you Adrienne and Bernie!

We were not without anything.

Breakfasts were delicious , filling, timeous, fresh and the dining room was clean and staff wonderfully friendly. Hosts Bernie and Adrienne were more than what we expected. Hospitality unbelievable with genuine interest in my family . Everything made possible for us to have a very comfortable stay. Correct and very useful information given to us, with our safety in mind. I would send my family and friends there any time.

Neighbours barking dogs especially ‘early’ in the morning.

Friendly, helpful and knowledgeable hosts. Great breakfast and real value for money. Well equipped rooms and anything you could ever want for a beach outing can be borrowed from the property (umbrellas, boogie boards, sunscreen, etc.) Good location - close enough to everything yet out of the hustle and bustle of tourist central.
