The room was spacious and it had a lkitchentte. The room was warm and cozy. The shower water was hot! The breakfast was so good with locally produced butter; jams and eggs. Everything was fresh and lovely - including the natural spring water.

It was a wonderful stay! We stayed for two nights. The rooms are cosy, spacious shower, the property itself is beautiful and if you're lucky you can see a zebra in the garden. Roger is an amazing host and knows the area very well. Breakfast is good too.

A great quiet and very peaceful location set in a private estate with lovely well-groomed gatdens and pool plus a very comfortable large bed. Roger, the host, was amazing from start to finish seeing to your every need and passing on local knowledge of what to do in the area. The breakfast was outstanding from the presentation to the taste. We were lucky to be there over a Wednesday and saw the world-renowned Drakenkbergs Boys Choir, something not to miss. There are plenty of walks with superb scenery in the area, plus MTB trails and canopy tours. Within a 5 minutes walk there is a hotel and restaurant serving quality food at very reasonable prices.

From easy Booking , through to the Reception , Great Great Great. Host Roger is truly warm and caring. This home away from home feeling is hard to find. Place is super neat and clean. Garden and Pool area is relaxing and with all you need. Breakfast is tasteful and Freshly made each Morning. We as a Family would recommend this Guest House to all. From Solo traveler to Family. We would sure return . Area is so Beautifull , Quiet , safe and clean.

Roger the owner and his team are wonderful people. Roger has had high level hospitality experience and it shows. The place is well kept and very comfortable. Good breakfast and always lovely breakfast conversations with Roger. Great location at the doorstep of Drakensberg Sun Resort, with incredible views of the valley. Animals roaming past and a variety of birds chirping on the trees are a bonus.

That there was only breakfast provided, had to go to other places for our meals. However other restaurants are very close by, the furthest being 15 minutes drive.

The room was nice and cozy. Roger is a wonderful host he's very friendly and willing to help with anything and gives good recommendations. The place was like a home away from home. The breakfast provided was very tasty too.

Roger is made for this! His warm hospitality made us feeling special and so welcome as from check in. Very nice and fresh breakfast every morning in a cosy place with view on the garden, birds and pool. He made recommendations for dinner and even called the restaurant to make a reservation for us. Our last day we had to leave early in the morning for our flight and even he was there to say goodbye, that was so kind! The region is very nice for hiking and all information about hiking and other activities are provided. It's also safe to stay here due to the gated entrance. We would stay longer at Cathkin Cottage when we visit again Drakensbergen! Many thanks for this nice experience!

Hard to pinpoint but if anything the rooms were not the most spacious but nevertheless very well kept and comfy - all you need!

It was the perfect getaway. Location-wise, central to most activities and amenities, with beautiful mountain views and in a safe estate. Staff were friendly and helpful. Our host Roger, was great! He was very attentive and eager to offer suggestions for activities, hiking routes and restaurants. We will definitely be back

We felt very welcomed and Roger was going the extra mile. It was quiet cold, sitting in the evening in the lounge, close to the fireplace was beautiful. He even gave us the chance, to eat our pizza there. The location is perfect, in the heart of everything, quiet, beautiful surroundings. Also the possibility to walk from the cottage up into the resort, with the magnificent views and the Zebras, observing us was really great. Thanks Roger, all the best.
