How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I found the mattress too hard, and (see above) loud music at night made it hard to sleep. The dining room should pay attention to quality of food and speed of service. The food at times takes far too long to deliver. We got a pizza with mayonnaise on it, not up to the quality of even a basic pizzeria, I got an apple crumble that was ice cold, there was an odd taste in the something with the Malva pudding. Chips were good. Some items were good.
Perfect location, except for music at night (coming from nearby venues) making it difficult to sleep. Friendly staff, clean, very good and rapid maintenance when the screen didn't work, great WiFi, dining room in hotel, good parking.

The TV programs were shocking to say the least. No Sky news no Cnn news. I know not everyone goes on holiday to watch TV but i do like to be informed on a daily basis.

Sound proof the rooms
Well the hotel is beautiful but we could hear the next building music right up until 2 am on Friday night. Rooms are not sound proof.

Hotel located in modern/ new complex but tooo loud especially on weekends. Ok for overnight stay but not more. Attractive for younger generation. Would not recommend to overseas travelers.

The fact that there are no small/bar fridges where one can keep their water or medication when necessary

The utensils to even get a cup of coffee was an issue. The bed did not have any comforter which I was really disappointed with.

The location is great - just across the road from Gateway Mall. Windows are sound proof so no noise from outside? Room is a good size. Bed comfortable Breakfast was a plenty to choose from and very nice. All the staff were super nice.

The fact that we don't have fridges in our rooms 😭. I'm diabetic and always travel with my medication that need to be stored in the fridge,they told me I should bring it at the reception they will keep it for me there 💔,how do you keep your emergency treatment in the fridge that everybody in the building uses?😭💔
The front desk staff is friendly even the kitchen staff. A big thank you to the cleaning staff who cleans ou room,they are frendly and fast,and the guy who always cleans the balcony and maintanance.

I didn’t even see a pool or lovely vistas while I was there. It could just be a city motel
Such a brilliant location!!! I booked not knowing the area at all but only that it was close to the airport. For someone just arriving and needing basics it can’t get better than this!

The noise from the Clubs around the area is very disturbing. Some guests are also very loud and they make a noise in the passage during the night as well as in the sitting area downstairs. You are attracting many bottom end patrons. U need to upgrade quality of iron and ironing boards please.
I stay here regularly for work and the breakfasts are average. Same layout day after day is boring! I don't eat beef or pork so I have to make do with whatever is available yet there are many Indian Butcheries who cater for Chicken or Mutton. On this trip, we decided not to book breakfast so we had breakfast at Gateway at a fraction of the price

Despite the Hotel being 100% occupied, service was top level, hotel was very clean, no noise and location was perfect. I would certainly recommend this hotel and use it again. All staff greeted every time we walked past and should be complimented.
