Major maintenance is required: plumbing required. Appliances need upgrade- there was no kettle in our unit, toaster caught alight, microwave stopped working. Patio ceiling was dripping and leaking into the unit. Damp in the bedroom ceiling- made it difficult to sleep- noisy dripping. The rooms smelled like damp. Such a pity that maintenance is so poor as this is one of our favourite places to stay

Location and views are beautiful. Food at the restaurant is tasty. Staff are friendly- entertainment is great. Fun venue

Operationally it could be better, our room didn’t have items we needed for cooking and missed other items like the TV remote etc…we inquired and requested many times but to no avail.

They need to change their fridge in the unit that we were booked in. The top was not cold and it made some of our meat spoilt. Also that there was load shedding and they didn't provide anything for the rooms eg candles

Only thing I was unhappy about was the veranda and in the apartment was full of insects,that I had to phone reception and ask for doom as I have a small baby,the weather didn't Play on our side Saturday as cudnt play in the pool n also was so windy dat we cudnt braai as braai area was down,

I enjoyed fishing,the scenery, waking up in the morning to the noise of the animals, apartment we stayed in was so comfortable, on arrival was a warm welcome

Payment was taken from my credit card on the day of booking. Subsequently I received 8 e-mails telling me how to make payment. On phoning the resort, I was told that my payment was not reflecting. A further e-mail from the resort indicated that payment was reflecting on the system, and I would have no problem at the resort. Within 10 minutes of checking into my unit, I received a call from reception telling me to present my proof of payment. I find this stressful, and unnecessary. There are quite a few maintenance issues with the unit, such as a non working microwave.

Restaurant - the restaurant menu was very limited and disappointing. However, when we visited for lunch, we were presented with a specials menu. This was well presented, and the food and service were excellent.

Housekeeping wasn't really up to scratch. Our kettle wasn't working and needed to be replaced, which they did. Then the unit didn't have a can opener, then the housekeeper took our clean towels and left the dirty ones - which was eventually replaced.

I loved the view and how pleasant and accommodating the staff was.

I was really looking forward to swimming but the pool was really dirty and that was a huge disappointment

The toilet system was really bad. If u need someone to help with this matter... I know of someone excellent who can fix the plumbing problem in the toilets. They very good company.

Loved the outdoor activity the place provided and the chalets were very clean. The staff were very prompt on providing everything needed during the stay.

Games room should have had equipment readily available for foozball, table tennis etc. There wasn't staff to assist us so we were unable to use the games.

I stayed in unit 36B. A serious upgrade to the accomodation units is required. Furniture is old. Curtains in the room has holes in it. The room carpets are okd and stained in some places. Lounge area appears to have some dampness stains on the wall that requires a repaint. The couch in the lounge is old and uncomfortable with no arch support. The fridge in the kitchen is noisy and sounds like an instrument from an orchestra. The lighting is dull in the eating area and the lounge. The door separating 2 adjoining units must be replaced with a thicker solid door as you can hear the neighbour's chatting away next door. Games room closes at 6pm and should be extended to longer hrs. The reception closes at 530pm on Saturday but was closed at 5pm only to call the reception for some essential items. There should at least be a notice on the door indicating opening and closing hrs . The mirror in the bathroom was slightly cracked. I have stayed in. Other units previously and basically they need an upgrade

The fresh air of the Midlands. Location is good to use as a base to travel for a day trip to the Berg or Piggkel Wiggley. Enjoyed using the fore place in the lounge.

We booked at around 8pm for a 9pm check in due to an emergency. When we arrived the concierge was upset that he had to stay so late. He then gave us a key to a room that was dirty and not yet cleaned. We eventually got a key to a clean room which was lovely but unfortunately it was time for load shedding and there was only one candle provided. The next morning we found that we didnt have a hairdryer in our room and we requested one but it was never delivered. We were also not allowed to request a late check out.
