Location was excellent, close to everything. We were able to walk to the restaurant at night, perfectly safe. The staff at breakfast were very accommodating. Food was laid out beautifully. The staff made your coffee fresh for you every morning, whether cappuccino or espresso. And they asked if they could prepare you a hot breakfast, eggs, etc. The rooms were very clean and paid attention to little details that make a difference…good quality soaps and shampoo, bathrobe and slippers. They arranged for a driving for us before and after our stay. And had good recommendations regarding vineyards and restaurants. The owner was onsite during our visit and was very friendly and took time to chat with us.

We loved the breakfast. A yummy self-serve healthy breakfast and a full cooked breakfast are provided. I loved that the guest house was a quick walk to the main road in town where lots of restaurants and shops are situated. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

We all liked everything about Macaron Boutique hotel. The ambiance, the staff, the rooms and location were all wonderful. Great breakfast too. Go and stay there. You won’t regret it

The staff were friendly, welcoming and very helpful with giving us local recommendations. The decor of the whole guest house and gardens is stunning and the ambiance is so warm. Our expectations were far exceeded than what we had anticipated when we booked our stay. Two nights simply wasn’t enough! I will recommend Macaron to anyone I know visiting Franschhoek and we can’t wait to come back here. Thanks for such a lovely stay.

One of the rooms was next to the laundry room and next to the entrance which was noise and not a private place.

Loadshedding when air con goes off, but nothing they can do about that. Would have been nice if milk and loo rolls had been replenished.

I loved everything!

From beginning to end, Macaron boutique exceed our expectations! The location is so ideal, especially if you don’t have a car. It is walking distance to everything making it so convenient so shop, go to the store and dinner. The morning breakfast was amazing, and the staff was so lovely and accommodating. I would definitely stay here again.

The only thing was our room was quite dark as there were no ceiling lights and didn’t want to fully open curtains as was right on the street. Would have been nice to have some more lamps :)
