Beautiful and charming guesthouse with very nice and loving staff. The manager was very nice to us and took care of dinner reservations in a very busy weekend. The breakfast was delicious and the location is great. Definitely recommend it.

Everything about our stay was wonderful. The staff were exceptional and Nadia could not be more helpful, she even printed off our travel documents. The room was first class as were the grounds and general areas. Very relaxing atmosphere and couldn't be closer to the dead centre of this wonderful town.

We had such a beautiful stay for a birthday, the whole stay was seamless and very flexible. The room was very clean and quiet, with beautiful gardens walking distance to town. The hospitality given was fantastic and the ladies very flexible in the morning at breakfast time and check-out. We had time to enjoy the pool and have a relaxed morning before departure (including locals knowledge for recommendations of the area on our drive back) We will most definitely have Macaron Guest House as our go to on our next visit, we were more than happy with the experience and highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxed stay in Franschhoek.

There was no milk for the coffee that was in the room and my parents found a half eaten ice cream in their fridge. The showers spilled water all over the floor and you couldn’t put a bath mat as they open outwards. We ordered a breakfast with no bacon as my husband doesn’t eat pork and the bacon was on the plate anyway.

The setting was beautiful and room spacious and comfy. The pool area was lovely and cool and an amazing quiet place to sit and relax. The staff were friendly and accommodating and helpful when we needed things. The food was good and a nice big portion along with the buffer items.

It has two dip pools but not enough room for a long swim. Other places we’ve stayed have had a reciprocal gym membership but this is very minor and personal to us…others may not mind.

We loved our stay in this beautiful guesthouse in the center of Franschhoek! Location is perfect in walking distance from the shops and restaurants and close to the vineyards. Staff is friendly and breakfast was great!

We loved the quality of the amenities! the Nespresso coffee, fresh milk and stunning bath products, all of it made it feel so special! We also loved the central location, it was in walking distance of the main road, yet quiet and tranquil. the room was super comfortable and a wonderful blend between classic and modern.

After making a last minute booking, I never expected the check-in to be so easy and for the room to be so well prepared, down to the smallest details. Being a hot day, we immediately went and jumped in the pool before taking an quick walk into town for dinner. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower large with good water pressure. The breakfast was amazing with a cold and hot option which was freshly prepared! The staff were friendly and kind, allowing us to eat out breakfast outside to admire the mountain views from the courtyard. I definitely be back and recommend Macaron over again!

stunning accommodation, the most comfortable beds & linen. It was a great start to our stay to be met by our friendly host, Nadia, who immediately made us feel comfortable and welcome. Loved the cleanliness of the room, the crispy white bedding along with the Charlotte Rhys products which was available for our use. The breakfast was amazing! The security guard was a plus.
