Some of the equipment was not working like Aircon in the main bedroom, fridge was not colder and 1 kitchen cabinet door broken.

Location is perfect. The views are magnificent.

Maintenance of appliances, the gas oven at our lodge wasn't working and it wasn't fixed till we checked out.

As it is mentioned in the description, make sure you have a suitable car. It is quite a way to the accommodation, and make sure you drive until the very end of the sandy road. We got a little confused about where we needed to go, but it was not because of bad communications! Nicole was very clear about what we would need to do. For people like us, another sign halfway might be helpful though to make clear that you really have to follow the whole road till the end as there are other entrances as well. As others said as well, we had a few insects in the house, however, I think it is absolutely normal when you are far out in nature! I was not bothered by a spider and a bug in the bathroom. I have the same amount of insects in the house during summer when doors and windows are open.

We loved the lodge! The view, the staff, the rooms were fabulous. We enjoyed the private game drive a lot. The type of animals you see is limited, but as it is a private drive it is absolutely understandable. We saw giraffes, zebras, some kinds of birds and impalas and a few more and you end up at this incredible platform overlooking the mountains. We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant and we enjoyed it a lot! It wasn't very busy (Also understandable considering where it is located) but we liked the calm and relaxing atmosphere anyway. The food was good! The lodge itself was great! It was clean and tidy. I loved watching the lizards and scarabaeus around the house. The wifi was fine for us, I was able to do a video call and as it is connected to a generator, it is not subject to load shedding. If you are looking for a calm place where you are surrounded by nature with amazing views and some comfort, I highly recommend the Dinkweng lodge! With the private pool, it is also great for couples or small groups of friends.

The bugs are a bit overwhelming, even while eating they are swarming around you, so it could possibly be better to either have a bug zapper on hand/citronella candle to ward them off.

The place is definitely as advertised in the photos, possibly even better. The food is well-prepared at the restaurant and all activities were a short walk away from our lodge. Serene and peaceful place with spectacular views (sunset was even more amazing).

A bit of a drive to get there, especially the last bit of dirt road

Prior to booking inform guests that a 4x4 vehicle is required and the gravel road to get to the lodge. Luckily we had one. Restaurant is very quiet so ensure you prepare all your meals at the lodge. The convenience shop has limited supplies. However the restaurant was helpful and you can purchase breakfast stuff. On our walk we came across zebra's giraffe and springboks and warthog. That was a memorable walk.

The house was beautiful. Adequately and nicely fitted and furnished. Loved the outdoor area for relaxing. Needed more shade on the outside.

Nicole, the lodge manager was great. She went out of her way to meet all our needs. The view from our unit was spectacular. I highly recommend Dinkweng.

It takes forever to get to the destination from the tarred road, especially on a low riding car. Access into the facilities also takes long, taking into consideration that you need to inform reception when near but there's no to very little network coverage. There should be a guard posted at the main entrance for easy access. We had no water on our day of departure. The problem took hours to resolve.

Amazing views mixed with a sense of peace and tranquility. Perfect place to escape to or head out to, to regroup and bond with family/friends.

The road there was not great and we were not warned - however, we did get through it okay in a small car 😂 The wifi was also unreliable and the food at the restaurant is great but a bit overpriced.

The staff was incredibly friendly and you really do get value for money - our lodge was big and well maintained with a private pool and spacious kitchen/lounge area.
