Nothing really ... all was perfect !

Incredible location, fantastic staff, great games. We were all alone in a 4000 hectares private reserve, and saw most of the animals. All staffs were SO friendly. I would recommend this experience to anyone !!!!

We did 2 morning and 1 afternoon game drives with a very experienced and friendly guide. Managed to find white lions and meet rhinos crossing the road just in front of the car.

Small swimming pool

Great family’s connecting rooms (5 people). Well organized game drive tours (morning and afternoon) included plus extra at Kruger park or night safari. Our guide Matthew went beyond expectations telling us about all animals behavior and habits. His knowledge was incredible. Francisco, the manager, helped us personally calling the airport and collecting a delayed baggage from Johannesburg. Well done! The roads connecting the property to Hoedspruit airport are under renovation and driving on the unpaved side road is a challenge. Kruger park is about 50’ minutes drive. The only big five missing in the property are the elephants.

When we booked this accommodation we thought it was part of Greater Kruger, but that’s not really the case. There are fences around the property and there are no elephants. Nevertheless it was an amazing experience.

Was quite disappointed not at least have one drink included in game drive. It was also weird that there were no snacks for the evening drive. It checks all the boxes, but sometimes a little homemade biscuit makes it more personal / welcoming.

We were greatly dissatisfied with the quality of food. The property of this standard undoubtedly needs to serve a better and tastier food. Everything we ate, tasted bland and on some instances was simply uneatable.

The property has intermittent phone reception, and the lodge has patchy wi-fi which some will find frustrating, but even as a solo traveller found incredibly refreshing. There was no TV in the well-appointed suites but this did not affect me at all, because you should be immersing yourself in the wonderful environment anyway.

I stayed at Lakeview, a serene and private base to enjoy the sights and sounds of the reserve. It was quite amazing to have hippos, turtles, birds and crocs living just outside your room. Zebras and baboons also paid the lake a visit. Nothing was too hard - especially accomodating to my vegetarian diet. There was a set menu which I could adapt, but the kitchen were happy to make me whatever I was feeling like. There was plenty of food. Between the property and the half day visit to Kruger, I saw more than I could have ever imagined. Seeing a leopard didn’t happen on this trip, but I did have the most incredible up-close experiences with rhinos and lions that made up for it. And, you can save any/all your tipping to check out which makes things easier.

The fact we had to leave and go home 😊

From start to finish, an amazing experience! Our Rangers Lucky and Simon were so knowledgeable and we got to see everything we hoped to see. The team back at the lodge are so attentive and friendly, amazing food, rooms spotless with equally amazing view over the river (we stayed in lodge 8). We will definitely be back - to see Fransisco at the very least 😊

The schedule was very rushed and could not substitute a morning or afternoon drive for a night drive (which required additional payment) meaning you could not enjoy relaxing time during day unless you sacrifice an included part of the stay. Were not suggested to walk outside of walking path from rooms to restaurant/swimming pool meaning only activity other than game drives being swimming pool. Game drive into Kruger was in a 12 seater closed bus, whereby confusion at camp lead to our arrival approximately 1 hour late and not taking other paths - could have done self drive

The game drives, guides were extremely informative. Staff as a general rule were extremely accommodating and helpful. Food was delicious. Wildlife such as giraffe would come close to rooms and lake we looked into permanently contained 4 or 5 hippos

Amazing place. Especially the staff Franzisko and Jan are the most amazing people and made us feel at home. The game drives were very interesting and we saw and learned a lot. The food was delicious. All in all really worth the stay and the money.
