Even though the finishes are at a very high standard, the water / plumbing is very sad to say, poor. It is impossible to shower in room 6 as the water temperature is either very hot or very cold (never in the middle), and the taps do not allow for easy temperature adjustment. So much so, that it can take up to 5-10min to set the taps to a desired temperature as it is by touching the tap, either burning hot or super cold. This however is a fractional comment since one does not shower all day long.

The staff was excellent, friendly and efficient (especially the restaurant staff). The food is exceptionally good. At a fair price. The luxurious finishes in the rooms are very European quality and in Africa, a very pleasant experience. The fact that no loadshedding was experienced, was also a sigh of relief.

The bathrooms and the spa are now both dated . Rooms are great which makes the bathrooms age stand out

Extremely helpful, kind and accommodating staff. Great location, very comfortable and spacious room, nice sized bathroom. Wonderful breakfast, varied choice of fruit and cooked options.

The mini bar being empty made it feel like a 2 star hotel.

Location near a wedding venue out in Somerset west. Rooms lovely with balconies. Definitely the place to stay out in Somerset west.

I was only given my spa discount in my room when I went straight to spa at 2pm so it would have been useful to get this from reception. Breakfast options seemed a bit limited eg I was not offered any eggs or hot food beyond the buffet.

No balcony from suite upstairs and no walk out onto a patio/garden.

Close to Vergelegen Wine Farm where we hosted a birthday party. Comfortable double bedroom with separate lounge, bedroom & on suite bathroom.

I think the price is somewhat steep.

I woke up too late for breakfast. The room is a nice size with all the basics being available. I also like the whole ambience around the property and the proximity to Lorensford where i had a function. Too bad the weather on Saturday was awful.

Newly opened restaurant smelled of paint. Didn’t feel like there was a bar as all areas had people eating. Pool right alongside a restaurant so didn’t feel comfortable swimming.

Very beautiful, nice public areas, really went out of their way to accommodate our special requests. Tasty food, good service. Cool vibes, great music. Netflix in rooms!

It seemed under staffed or the staff were not clear on who was serving which table. Took a while before our arrival was seen and recognised. After that it was excellent.

Breakfast was amazing, fresh and with great portions.
