Convenient location, pity about the fence in front of the house, understandable, because it leads onto municaple property/ dam. View of the water and mountain is lovely.

The cozy cottage, peace, tranquility, and the scenery. It was within walking distance of the dam. The lovely heated blankets to keep you warm at night and knowing that you're sleeping on fresh, clean linen. I loved the touch of the sherry as we only arrived at 11h00pm, and it warmed up the guys. The fireplaces in every room. My fur babies were so comfortable and happy as well.

The communication from the host was poor, they also weren't sure the date we booked for and made no effort to communicate with us on the date. We had to phone a security company to get a hold of the owner as none of the neighbor were able to contact them. A very stressful arrival, we thought we were initially scammed.

The house was clean, neat and well looked after. The town was lovely.

General maintenance is needed. Webber was broken. Pedestal in one bedroom loose. Toilet was leaking in one of the double rooms. The key was broken on the single rooms sliding door. The bedroom cupboards need a clean as we could not pack away our clothing. I expected more meaures for load shedding. We took own lights but in terms of cooking could use more measures. However the view was unbeatable as well as the surroundings. Close to town.

The view was exceptional. The house was very comfortable. Comfortable beds. Good space for a family. Will definately return. Despite the loadshedding we managed to have a great weekend away with two families comfortably.

It was a bit difficult to get to the estate, the GPS took us to another house. Just confirm with the owner. When we arrived at the house, we heard the TV was on and the cleaning lady was busy watching tv and sitting on the coach, she was a bit shocked that someone came to the house, not expecting us. It was unpleasant as I immediately thought are we doubled booked, why is there someone still in the house. We phoned Nicola, and it was immediately sorted out.

The wooden door out of the lounge is very difficult to open. Have to push it at the bottom to get it going. also lock of door in bedroom on the right is not working at all so only a little shift lock is keeping it closed. Being 2 couples it is a bit difficult to only have 1 set of keys to move around

Just think the cleaner is a bit slack. Cutlery used the night before was still dirty after she washed it and put back into the drawer

The second main bedroom (left when looking at the dam) is somehow pulling in the smoke of a fireplace, which is quite unpleasant.

The house is situated on the dam, with a lovely serene view and atmosphere. Someone was always ready to assist with cleaning, the amount of space, amazing!

Just a private note to the owners as you may not be aware: It was raining on the evening of our arrival. Once unpacked and inside the property, we selected our room - this would be the room on the right (when facing the outside dam view in the sitting room) with the queen/king size bed - the water leaked via the ceiling onto the bed (when facing the bed from the foot-end, its on the right-hand side of the bed). The duvet cover, inner and pillows were wet. We did mention this to Dorothy to bring under your attention as you probably may not know about it. It didn't bother us personally as we were spoilt for choice with bedrooms but it may be an issue if you have a group of guests staying.

Character and decor of the property was traditional English which we loved. The location on the dam was superb with a view to die for. A great spot for those keen to learn to flyfish. The huge fireplace in the sitting room was magnificent for those chilly Dullstroom evenings.

Spotless, with attention to detail. Candles, firewood, coffee and tea. Even as a minimalist, I found the furniture comfortable and functional. The beds were also comfortable, with crisp, clean sheets and nice pillows.

I didn't like that 2 bedrooms didn't have their own fireplace and that it was 2 single beds. Otherwise, this place is pretty amazing!!!

I loved the view from the house and that the kitchen was very modern with modern appliances. Every bedroom had electric blankets and the water pressure was amazing!!! Thank you for the white sheets and the fireplace in the living room was just too awesome!!!
