The hosts were very welcoming. They both explained the facilities as well as the places to be visited in and around the location and all types of restaurants in details. At night when we were sitting on the open deck and it got windy, the hostess brought the rugs so we can cover ourselves to protect from the wind.

Beautiful house in a beautiful area. Outside smells so nice of lavender and Jasmin. The room was just amazing. Breakfast was nice and staff super helpful and friendly.

The rooms were not cleaned properly, dusty with numerous spiderwebs under furniture. Outside furniture and areas not cleaned at all. No meals (other than breakfast) available on site as the website infers, everything is ordered in if you want it so you need to order the day before. Breakfast was fair, but exactly the same served up every day. The bath water is brown because it comes from a borehole and is not filtered. We were given the use of the main house kitchen to prepare meals, but found it very grubby and unsanitary.

Beautiful buildings and very pleasant environment, lovely gardens and visiting wildlife. In a great position with easy access to surrounding wine farms in both Stellenbosch and Paarl. Friendly staff who responded to requests within their abilities.

All was good. It's just we attended a wedding and did not have much time to look around. What we did see, was beautiful.

No WiFi, no aircon/fan. Continental breakfast was stale. The breakfast tables were set up for groups so we couldn't sit and enjoy breakfast alone.

Extremely accommodating to myself and my bridesmaids. Made sure we were comfortable and helped in a jiffy when we needed one of the bridesmaids dresses clean and dried.

whole place is very tired and lacking life. looks as if it’s not be maintained for a long time, and whilst they are trying to do the gardens, can see it’s got some way to go. our room was very drably decorated and the bathroom had lots of years of build up in the shower with a broken shower head. bedside tables and lamps moved every time bed moved! pool was very grubby and all the ponds were overgrown with algae. felt the whole place needs a BIG lift - could be absolutely stunning! it is also a bit out of the way with not much to keep you there sadly

The property has seen better days and a bit tired. The room we stayed in was very basically equipped. Internet access only available in lounge/ reception area and not in provided room.

The estate seems to be in need of some maintenance. The grounds are not looking as "lush" as the internet images and look a little disheveled. Pathways have become uneven with cracks and none of the water features are running. Breakfast was disappointing and I was not impressed to receive the reheated toast from another table of guests who didn't finish theirs.

The room was very nicely styled, we enjoyed the eclectic style and old Dutch manor.

breakfast could be greatly improved in every way . slow and shambolic bathroom soaps were almost empty . mugs for morning tea/coffee would be an improvement rather than thick cup and saucers .

Planned a last-minute getaway with my partner and I was blown away by how ready to receive us the place was. Lloyd and his staff were warm and kind, breakfast was amazing (especially those home-made danishes), the room was comfortable and immaculate. The views are out of this world. I'm definitely coming back for my birthday in June.
