The TV was not connected to the internet, so it did not work. Some of the furnishings are showing signs of wear and tear, Similarly, the floor covering in the bathroom requires maintenance. I did not like the glass wall that separates the public passage from the bathroom, it does not feel private and the passage light remained on until 24:00 which meant the room was not dark enough to facilitate a good sleep.

The property was well located for my purposes, the room spacious and comfortable and a nice view from the room not the garden. Secure parking is available on the premises and Patricia was very friendly and efficient with the check-in process.

Stunning house with a beautiful garden in a safe neighbourhood. Good restaurants and shopping just ariund the corner. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was also nice, and our host Sam and his team made us feel very welcome. Very nice people!

The shower takes a long time to get to temperature but I don’t feel this is something Sam can change. The room was fully equipped with shower and bath so we had nothing to complain.

We enjoyed the spacious house, it was clean and cost. The location within the city is very good, safe and beautifully green.

The bathroom 'wall' was made of stained glass with visibility to others from the passage. The feeling of insecurity of people being able to 'see' you moving around. Maybe a wall feature on the stain? Out of your control - I come from a quiet neighborhood so the late night traffic and the neighbors alarm going off made sleeping disrupted. I didn't close the window to check if it was sound proof come to think of it.

I loved the bed, the shower, and the option of having the bar fridge with access to coffee/tea. The hospitality of the hosts.

The place was clean and the host was very hospitable... Loved the dogs and the environment. This is a place to stay at for more than one day if you want to experience it properly. I unfortunately was there so that I can catch my morning flight. But I honestly loved it.

The Wi-Fi was slow. I'm not sure if it was the Wi-Fi suppliers' issue, as I also found local data connections very slow too.

Wonderful hosts, great guests to chat to. Sam and family are just great. Great to know there is solar power during power outages at Houghton Place, which is great. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable bed. Lovely friendly dogs :)

It is a very calm place. The owners and caretakers are kind and welcoming. You can sit out in the garden, get some work done, play with the dogs... It's walking distance to the Gautrain station and to the Rosebank mall. All in all a warm and convenient place. I'd prefer to stay here, as opposed to a hotel, every time.
