There wasnt much i didnt like. Perhaps just the cold showers.😄

It was lovely being out in the bush and having some comfort in a camping setting and having good family time.

It’s basic but more than comfortable. The shower could use some improvement as it was either super hot or cold and kept switching between the two. But other then that, it was a perfect place for us to stay

The hosts and team were extremely friendly, helpful and supportive. They made you feel at home. Very comfy beds and space.

The owners and staff were absolutely wonderful - really welcoming, kind and helpful. Absolutely loved the two dogs too, and the dinners were good! They also went over and above to let me out of the game reserve at 3:30am, thank you!

Its a great property. Owners and staff are great, felt like i was adoptive family. Note: you need to email or call when you think you will be at the game entrance gate, otherwise you will be waiting a long time. There is no phone or reception at gate.

Honestly not much I can fault the place with. It's a bush camp not a luxury lodge, it's catching up after pandemic restrictions caused financial difficulties but there is no actual lack as long as you're there to be in the midst of nature and enjoy that experience. The bar and breakfast variety is limited but perfectly adequate. It's a way from the nearest restaurant and no self-catering facilities onsite so one sort of has to book in for the additional cost of dinner but this is also good food so not actually a real problem unless you're a very picky eater, and they do their best to cater for dietary restrictions/requirements if you let them know in good time.

It's quiet and there's a good amount of space between each of the chalet's and tents. The bush camp allows the feeling of staying in the bush with lots of wildlife around, even a semi-tame zebra! I loved being able to birdwatch in the mornings and evenings. The main building has a nice set-up with big campfire space and a lookout deck as well as a bar and strong enough wifi. The owners are a wonderful couple who live nearby so always on hand, and their staff were super friendly and just lovely guys. We went on a lovely afternoon/evening safari drive with very knowledgeable ranger and great food!

The location in a privately owned game reserve is amazing. A shy but photogenic zebra is living right between the cottages and was welcoming us at arrival. The two trainees, George and Dimitri, have a super attentive manner providing excellent service for us. Dinner and breakfast were freshly cooked and served in buffet style, even though we were the only guests. The cottages are simple but comfortable. We've spent the evening together with the owners and their trainees at the fireplace. A negative surprise was the dinner bill, as we were charged almost 800 ZAR in total, which was more than double a standard restaurant bill. Nevertheless, it was a wonderful one night stay we really appreciated.

Be prepared, room can get cold and the gates have times please read carefully if you are inexperienced

you must arrive at the property by 1830. the gates are open 0700 - 1830. we didn’t know (as not advertised on site) but Brian was kind enough to let us out early for our morning sunrise game drive at Addo. had we known these restrictions in advance it would have changed our plans, as we were road tripping. no Wi-Fi in the rooms (however not a bad thing, as it’s in the middle of a reserve. so it’s fine)

25 Mins from Addo National Park. the game lodge itself is its own game reserve. dinner and breakfast available and very nice. Wi-Fi in Common areas is good. very safari—esque hosts are very friendly. Rooms comfortable

The only problem was no game drives. It does not mention anywhere that you would not be allowed to go on a selfdrive game drive.

Breakfast was plain and simple. More than enough for the days outings.

I would prefer a softer mattress. The facilities were very basic, toiletries very basic, breakfast also quite basic.
