Mel and her staff were really great. Very friendly on arrival and very accommodating to our needs. Breakfast was great. Mel was so friendly that she gave us travel tips and even allowed us to have some of our other friends over. Great experience and will definitely visit again.

Excellent breakfast. Mel made the stay more worthwhile as she had a warm welcome even though we only arrived at 11:30pm. She also took the liberty of taking the participants of the Knysna Heads Marathon to the starting line the morning of the race. She also made us toast and waited until we were back to serve breakfast. She also ensured that we were on time (left the guest house around 4:30am) and also fetched us after the race. She was an excellent host and I thank her for all her efforts. The staff were also friendly & helpful.

Liked the location, the hospitality and the rooms were very comfy.. If they would have just bigger basins for bathrooms it would be great.. Other than that everything was really clean and comfy.

Very little variety on entertainment, no TV channels like dstv or even normal SABC.

Hospitality & breakfast was excellent. The view over the lake was beautiful and peaceful. Very nice and cozy ambiance. Mel and Colleen was excellent hostesses and made our visit a most pleasant experience.

Sad to say that we traveled for our anniversary and the experience at the guest house did not feel special at all. We upgraded to the "Honeymoon Suite" but there was no special turn down prepared for us and the room did not give off any romantic appeal. Breakfast was average - an important fact of our trip was that our dietary requirements were not met despite informing the staff way in advance. Decent fresh milk was not given in the rooms and the coffee sachets were not replaced daily - we had to go out and get these basic things. Staff were very loud in the mornings from 7am as well so we could not even rest properly. On departure day, we were rushed rudely by the staff by constant knocking even though we had until 11am to check out. Overall, the property is more like a road lodge or stop-off motel than a 'luxury' guest house. Disappointingly, our expectations were not met at all despite choosing this property amongst many other suitable options. Not a return property for us unfortunately.

Facilities were in good condition in the rooms, the bed was comfy and loved the spa bath.

We recently travelled in the Cape and did the Winelands and the Garden Route. This was, handsdown, the best B&B we stayed in. Excellent location, very well managed and very reasonably priced. Excellent breakfast (divine poached eggs). Highly recommended

We booked a room for a very decent rate and received what we paid for. Unfortunately the bed sheets were a bit dirty and the smell in the bathroom was not so nice.

We can't say much about the Guest House, as we arrived super late and left quite early in the morning. The friendly owner of the Guest House made a very late check-in possible, which was great! The garden and pool area looked nice, but we didn't use it.

I'm a frequent visitor to South Africa and have never criticized a place after one night, but unfortunately this place deserves attention. Only... the bedding was clean. I'm sorry, but even for a moderate price, the room and bathroom need to be cleaned thoroughly.

Nice facility with potential, very good location, nice hostess, decent breakfast.
