The Landskroon website states that there is “full DSTV”. This is false advertising. The reality is that you must have your own DSTV account and use it to access any TV service, so foreign visitors (and many South Africans, too) are at a loss. The TV a cabinet even has a lock on it!

This cottage is the only one on the wine estate, so privacy is assured. The setting, views and sunsets are glorious: you can even see Table Mountain in the far distance. The cottage is very well equipped and spacious, including a gas burner for load shedding. We had the added privilege of witnessing the grape harvest … most interesting.

it is only a matter of personal preference and not meant offensive, but the cottage can do with some upgrading as it is otherwise perfect. Like maybe white linen. But as I say, it is only personal preference and I do not mean it in a critical way - just my observation, used to travelling a lot.

it is beautifully situated on a farm overlooking the beautiful winelands and valley. peaceful and tranquil. The hostess provided us with clear directions and instructions and load shedding schedule as well as load shedding lamps. we were allowed to check in earlier due to time restraints.

    No complaints.

Excellent location for anyone who would like to explore the Winelands of the Cape. The cottage is well-equipped, totally private, and I like the fact that there is a full bathroom with bath, shower, and handshower in case you just want to wash your hair, which makes it a lot easier for people with long hair; also a separate 2nd toilet/basin. Good communication from the host and no problem if you arrive late or leave early.

Not much, I think the only thing was finding like a bug/small cockroach in the bed the next morning. Other than that, everything was perfect.

We loved the location. The property exceeded our expectations. We really wish we could’ve stayed longer.

We felt like we were living on a farm rather than guests. It was amazing and quiet at night. Beautiful views of Table Mountain in the distance across a landscape of vines. The front veranda was a spectacular place to watch the sunset and have a barbecue. A full kitchen with all amenties was unexpected and a real pleasure. Proper old world charm.

The Tv had a buffering problem when watching live sport, could not work out why because the wi-fi signal was good and had a good speed.

The cottage was just as we expected, well equipped and comfortable. It was lovely and quiet in the evenings and the farm noises during the day were great to hear and not to have to worry about. The sunsets over Table Mountain every evening were magnificent.

The finishes are a bit old and outdated especially the bathrooms. The wine tasting closes at 1pm and is closed on Sundays, so if visit on the weekend will have to visit other farms in the area which are close by.

The bed very comfortable, large rooms. Accommodation on the wine farm within all the sheds and working farm. Close proximity to other wine farms and town center, easy access to the house. Good cooking and braai facilities. Magnificent views.

As I said it is a working farm and the cottage could do with repainting and a two seater sittee, although it would need to be kept in character. However, it is charming.

It really is a working farm, with a terrific wine and food matching by Samantha. Great setting and location for the vineyards. The bed was really comfortable and the weather was unusually hot for the time of year and the air con in the bedroom was very welcome.

Quaint unpretentious cottage on a working wine farm run by the family owners. Amazingly comfortable beds. The cottage is well appointed for both short and longer term stays. Stunning views. Central to be Paarl winelands and a perfect place to base explorations of Stellenbosch and Franschhoek wine regions. Staff are exceptional. The family owners live and work on the estate and are welcoming to their guests.

It was just too busy and no privacy at all. In these times of load shedding, there was no schedule for guests to plan around. For one night, it was adequate.

Cottage needs urgent upgrade. Serious renovation needed in terms of damp. Can't use braai if there is too much wind outside, smoke is blowing back into cottage. Roof collapsed in bathroom whilst bathing. There is some very old stuff that seriously needs replacement.

Surroundings is gorgeous and quiet and peaceful. Views incredible.

I would have appreciated 2ply toilet paper as apposed to the crispy single ply that was supplied. The towels were tiny I missed having a bath sheet. Its noisy in the morning and afternoon as the cottage is right next to the working area of the farm.

The view looking out towards Table mountain was really beautiful, especially at sunset. It was cool whilst we were there so we enjoyed using the indoor braai, especially as there was loadshedding. Lots of rechargeable lighting for loadshedding. Good location to visit the many tourist attractions in the area.
