Rooms too close to the road, could hear at night. No signal for phone and generator did not work at some load shedding times.

The Banhoek Valley is absolutely stunning. The services was super and the breakfast was great.

The swimming pool near the lodge accommodation could have been better cleaned if there were two extra lengths of hose for the cleaner to reach (and clean) the other end of the pool.

The food at the restaurant was superb, as was the service. The staff were polite, respectful and friendly

Food could be improved (3/5). Also, when ordering a room with breakfast included it’s somewhat odd that half of the dishes on the menu are not included in the price, you need to pay extra. That gives a stingy feeling. A recommendation, please soften the lights on the restaurant terrace, they are too strong and makes the terrace uncosy at night (the terrace as such is great!).

Location, the views, the wine (especially the rosé), the staff, spacious rooms. Great with an inhouse restaurant for dinner.

The staff were really friendly and very helpful. We were attending a wedding nearby and had several events to get to - shuttle services were booked for us and were all very reliable, and the manager gave us a lift to one evening event which was close by. Nothing was too much trouble, we were delighted and had a thoroughly good time.

The shower was not so good and bed was a bit too small. Overall a bit overpriced.

I changed the channel on the TV and completely lost connection. as much as I tried, I could not get TV to come on again. I did not want to have to call for staff to come to the room to set the TV, so I went to sleep. I could not find the switch to turn off lights so slept with a pillow on my head. Perhaps a sign to show you where the light switch is. Light is not a huge problem for me, hence not calling staff, but some clients may not be able to sleep with all the lights on.

Really so calming, with beautiful views of the mountain. the dam in front of the rooms, makes for a peaceful setting. staff were amazing.

Load shedding was a problem, however there was a generator on the property so power was not off for long. Everytime the generator started and when the power came back on, the room lights would turn on.

Leaving. But make sure to take some cases of wine with you.

All the staff go out their way to make you feel right at home. Our suite, the view and breakfast were amazing. Not to mention the wine tasting and the platters to accompany them. The grounds were well looked after with spectacular views all around. There is plenty to do and see in the area. Plenty of hiking too.

During loadshedding times the estate has its own generator which is a great addition to the guests. but the location of the generator right next to suite nr 6 is too noisy, especially during night. something to be aware of but the rest is fantastic the location is somewhat remote on top of a mountain but the views make up for that and you need a car anyway ik SA

The staff in the restaurant were very friendly, but have a lack lustre approach to service.

Beautiful views of the vineyards and mountains. On-site restaurant for dining in the evening. Excellent and professional staff for the check-in process.
