The gravel road entering the property till reception is not very comfy if you are in a light motor vehicle.

The staff are extremely friendly and make you feel very comfortable. the food was exquisite.

Quite a distance from the main attractions The water had a strange smell (sulphur like) There is some maintenance required and the lodge is starting to show its age a bit.

The 6km access road from Lidgetton is somewhat potholed - must just drive slowly. But the drive was worth the effort and patience.

No phones in the room to call reception in the event of emergency. No bottled water in the rooms. It would also be nice to have a bar fridge in room.

The only downfall is the drive up to the Lodge from the main rain. It's gravel road with many potholes. Not very easy with a small vehicle. Also, there isn't many amenities for kids. 😞

The Lodge is absolutely beautiful. From the entrance through the entire prop, it's clean and tranquil. You can see there is a lot of effort put into maintaining the property. The reception area is beautiful and very receiving, the cottage olate of utmost cleanliness. Linen, bathroom ,living, kitchen, everything is too perfection. There wasn't anything we needed that we didn't find there. The ladies at reception and all other staff we came across were pleasant and welcoming. You can see they enjoy being at the establishment. The view from the cottage was absolutely beautiful

Bathroom in our room could use an upgrade. There was no fan or aircon in the room so on hot days this would be a problem however luckily for us it was a nice cold weekend so we made good use of the awesome fireplace in our room

Staff were amazing. Amanda in particular went out of her way to make sure my partner had a great birthday weekend Rooms were cosy and loved the decor of the communal areas Pool table was great fun too Oh and the food...well that was incredible

Staff are unsure about prices. We were told breakfast was R155 per person on check in, however, when we came for breakfast we were told by the manager that it is R200 per person. He then went and checked with someone else and told us that it is R155 for us. The drive to the property is quite rough and 4x4 is recommended.

Very clean and has excellent amenities. Staff are friendly and inviting. The cottage is well maintained. We were given biscuits in the evening which was a nice gesture.

Veranda rooms could do with a bar fridge. Pool area could be modernised.

Beautiful location. Stunning scenery. Fantastic restaurant and very very good staff. Nice for running albeit rather hilly!
