The only downside was that we stayed on Thursday night when the restaurant isn’t open. The menu looks good. They did book us in for a meal in town and that was fine.

Good location ie 1.3km from Tulbach, lovely farm feeling, good accommodation, breakfast included very good and excellent restaurant. Cherie and all her colleagues were very friendly and efficient.

There was nothing in particular that we didn't like. The accommodation could benefit from an update but it served us well for our short stay.

Very good peaceful location just outside the historic town of Tulbagh. The room was clean and comfortable if a bit dated. Excellent breakfast and we enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant. Helpful and friendly staff. Thanks to Ria for her restaurant recommendations and local information. Good value.

We had a wonderful stay at Manley Estate, a very relaxing place in beautiful surroundings and there are several nice things to do in Tulbagh. Extra thanks to Ria, the manager, who made a tremendous effort in getting my glasses (which I forgot in the room) back to me in Sweden - very grateful for this exceptional service.

The wait for dinner and breakfast took some time but the menu does state that all the dishes are freshly made.

Breakfast was excellent. You are given a choice of breakfast from eggs / bacon benedict, breakfast pizza, or full English breakfast. You also receive a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice, coffee and a granola yogurt. Accommodation was excellent, clean shower, AC, comfortable bed and a gorgeous swimming pool with braai facilities awaited us. Centrally located and less than 3kkms from all the popular wine farms. Also enjoyed an excellent wine tasting from the knowledgeable Stephan.

Small pool. Good for a dip but not really a swim. Was fine for us but may matter to others.

Tranquil little estate, carefully restored over the past few years by the new German owner. Not fancy, but very good value for money. Spotless facilities and excellent breakfast. Nice bathroom products. Must be cozy in winter with the wood burning fireplace in the room. Mondays their restaurant is closed so we ate at the Tulbagh Hotel, a very short drive, great dinner. They do weddings at the Estate...the chapel is charming and I think it would be a lovely private setting for a smaller intimate family and friends affair. Very picturesque and peaceful.

Thank you to everyone at Manley for making our stay so lovely! Our room was perfect for a little weekend getaway. We enjoyed having an early morning dip in the pool. Great and efficient room service. Yummy brekkie- we were so satisfied, we didn't even need lunch :) Very friendly and helpful staff and check in/out was a breeze.

There are a LOT, a lot lot, of Mosquitoes and no repellent. Emptied 2 cans on insect repellent sprays and it was still a struggle. Breakfast was really good, but could use with some variety.

Location was amazing, beautiful views, sunrise and sunsets are gorgeous, it's right in the heart of wine farms. The room was spacious, with enough light into it and not stuffy at all. Bed was big and comfortable, room was fairly clean, bathroom is big with shower and bath They also have a electricity backup so you are never without power during loadshedding/power failures

The self catering unit need some upgrades. The kitchen facility is very small and a traffic congestion. The air conditioner works perfect for the main room but the loft room remained very hot/uncomfortable. I recommend to install a 2nd air conditioner in the loft room.

The breakfast was very good. The orange juice was excellent. The games at the restaurant was also nice fun. The rooms were very need and of a high standard. Beautiful views on the mountains. We also enjoyed the two owl chickens in the garden/tree close to the braai. The braai area was also great facility.

Wasn’t that easy to find the unit at first. Didn’t know there was a concealed fridge and coffee station until the fridge made a noise, perhaps a sign would help.

Amazing food, exceptional breakfast. Spacious room, well equipped. Pool was amazing, perfect temperature! Stunning views.

Did not like being bitten

I was eaten alive. Stayed in the upper bedroom. There was little black creatures in the bed and although I sprayed the bed, I have big red welts on my body. There was also a bat in the place. Do not know whether this bugs came from it or from the roof.

Laminated flooring was lifting.No remote for aircon in room.Bathroom needs to be renovated.
