A lovely little oasis in the middle of the city! They really go above and beyond to make sure you have the best stay possible. The entire team is super helpful, the facilities are lovely and it really felt like home away from home, not a hotel. The owners are happy to consult on possible activities and routes and security staff will make sure that you safely get on your uber or if walking, are happy to provide tips for staying safe. Would happily stay here again if in Johannesburg!

Everything was great.

The staff were absolutely wonderful! Thank you so much to Sue, Francina, Peter, Jeanette and all the amazing staff we had the pleasure of meeting. The room we stayed in was lovely and huge. It had a balcony, which was lovely to sit outside on and watch the birds from our own private garden oasis. The area is lovely and there are great restaurants within a short walking distance. We would definitely recommend staying at Melrose Place, and if we are lucky enough to visit again, we will definitely stay here.

Really liked everything. Maybe one small suggestion would be to add a water bottle in the fridge so that when guests arrive they can have some drinking water, especially in warm summer days ;)

The property is simply lovely, it's like a little piece of heaven in Johannesburg, so green and peaceful. On top of that, the people working there, from Pieter in the entrance to Sue (the owner) are simply lovely, kind and helpful people, making you feel extremely valued as guest.

They accommodated my late check-in and late checkout. Rooms are spacious and the bed is super comfy. Really friendly staff as well.

The staff went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable as possible. They are all super understanding and kind. The room was clean and had all facilities that I needed. The location is in a beautiful street near all kinds of restaurants. Also the breakfast was super tasty!

Very friendly staff, super comfy beds, we felt safe, you can only hear birds from the room, lovely place! Not far from Rosebank where you can take the train or shop. The security staff will always wait with you for your uber and Sue will help you finding activities in Jozie

This is a tranquil safe sanctuary with a perfect location. It truly feels like an oasis. It's gated yet we felt safe walking about during the day. Every staff member met us with a smile and a warmth that you could feel. I actually arrived needing to see a doctor for strep throat. The owner Sue called and set up the doctor appointment and the uber ride for me she could not have been more helpful !!! Daily breakfast is included and it's a hot delicious breakfast where you eat in the beautiful dining room with other visitors. We even met some friends we traveled with during our stay. I chose this place to stay with our friends because of all the good reviews and every one is true !!!please stay here!
