Everything was amazing, the staff were profesional, kind and accomadating couldn't have asked for a better experience. I had a beautiful day view of the mountains, the food in the Grill house was delicious. Absolutely amazing.

A very nice stay in an excellent central location. The room had a small courtyard and the in-house restaurant was very convenient and good value. Good breakfast and attentive staff. Secure on site parking. Easy check in and check out.

We had a perfect stay in the rooms of the Mimosa Lodge. The decision to make the fine dining experience with Bernhard was totally right, the food AND the wine was excellent. Thank you BTW for always keping the glasses full :-) The old rooms were still in very good shape and nicely equiped. The veranda towards the street was a nice location for the first dring as well as the garden for the last. Highly recommended!

We ordered a double bed but got 2 singles pushed together. Hand basin waste pipe partially blocked Central fan did not work. Having said this happy to stay again in the future

The glass/perspex shower wall should be wider, our floor was wet and we had to use our towels for the wet floor after a shower. The table on which the basin stands is huge but there is one small basin for a double room - that didn't make sense to me. The air con dripped water, so we had to put a towel on top of the cupboard to protect the wood. The generator was super noisy, I would suggest that they park it in a garage or somewhere where the sound is a bit muted. There's one small bin in the bathroom and nothing in the bedroom. I would put one in the bedroom as well. For a one night stay 1 bin is sufficient but if you stay longer, you need a bigger bin. The leaves should be scooped out of the pool more regularly.

The staff members' service were really good. They make an effort to please the customer. And this is rare. The room sizes are good. The shower size is good. The restaurant is elegantly decorated and the food was good. The lodge is nicely decorated. The lodge is walking distance from coffee shops, restaurants and places worth seeing in Montagu. The pool area is lovely.

Mimosa Lodge is a guesthouse in the centre of Montagu. Restaurants and a supermarket are within walking distance. Its own restaurant is very good, so no need to walk far. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated, with comfortable beds. The rooms have the usual facilities, with an airco. This worked well in the evening, but did not work during the night. Bathroom is large and comfortable too. There is a coffee-/tea machine, but no fridge in the room. Wifi is good, and does work during ‘load shedding ‘. Breakfast is the usual and starts at 8:00. They do have cappuccino, but you have to pay extra for that. Staff is friendly. You can park your car in front of the hotel.The parking area is not locked with a gate, but staff assured us it was safe.

No hot water available during loadshedding as it uses a gas geyser.

The modern look of the room we stayed in as well as the comfortable couches. We had a parking close to our room and did not have to carry our luggage far. The breakfast was delicious and fresh. Lovely personal garden with a great view of the mountains. Amazing water pressure in the shower. Also, really liked and appreciated the complimentary items upon arrival)

For safety purposes they need alarm system and security with extra contact details. The last night we had a burglaryand had to call in the police but he did get away with anything and we are safe but the trauma and we never a good night sleep
