Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

GermanyThe roof is not insulated so you can hear the neighbour's very clearly. The smoke from our fireplace was entering our neighbour's place during the evening somehow aswell. We felt the long Tom toboggan was too expensive for a duration of 2 min 30 seconds from top to bottom. The burgers we had for dinner had a weird under taste, we braaied on our second night due to this. I had the apple pie for dessert and it was doughy (the apple flavor was delicious). I was a bit sad that they did not offer lunch during our stay as it wasn't busy enough so we had to make alternate plans.
Loved the staff (extremely helpful, special shout out to Surprise, grace and Mabel and the wonderful receptionists, they were an absolute pleasure to deal with) and the atmosphere is very friendly. our room was stunning (one of the recently renovated ones) and our view was breathtaking. I would highly recommend watching the sunset over the mountains. We loved the quad biking and the hiking trails, the grass fields with little flowers were my favorite. The breakfast was delicious! And I loved the buffet spread. (need hashbrowns) Our room had an almost Japanese style bathroom which was wonderful. Complimentary wood daily is very appreciated and we had a wonderful time by the fire. This place has the potential to be 5 stars!

South AfricaWhen its rainy like on our stay you cannot do any of the activities (reasonable), but unfortunately the signal is very bad and the rooms dont have TVs in them,,, so if your stay has bad weather, ensure that you prep activities for a day in, especially if you have kids
The rooms are very private which is great. The food was very gourmette, even the included breakfast. The restaurant has a lovely deck view.

South AfricaOur neighbours were so noisy. Speaking at the top of her voices both early mornings and late evenings - made for uncomfortable sleeping. Not sure If it's the thin walls or just bad neighbours. Be mindful that there is no network or internet in the rooms. Reception area has internet.
Misty Mountain is exactly what it says it is. Stunning views of the mountain and plenty of mist that always clears during the day. If you are looking for rest and fresh air, this is it. Perfect for couples or families. Even a solo trip. Fire place included for colder days and an electric blanket and blankets if you get cold. A thoughtful experience

Botswanawe were in the farm house and the kitchen utensils and oven could use a little updating. The carpeted rooms also need some deep cleaning to reduce the moldyness of the rooms.

South AfricaThey can improve the wi-fi as the coverage in the area is bad. Wi-fi is only available on public places and rooms. The place can also try to communicate this prior check-in so guests are aware. The food for lunch/dinner was not nice, they can improve this as the rooms are not self-catering and there's no shops or restaurants nearby.
The place is located where there is mist almost everyday. The check-in was easy, very friendly staff and their buffet breakfast is the best.

South AfricaToboggan ride needs an assistant urgently. There was no one to explain how to ride it properly. The one guy who drive us to the top just told us to hold the speed lever at full and don't move it otherwise it has chances to stuck. He didn't guide us properly that we can manage the speed. That 25 minutes ride ended up in just 4 to 5 minutes. God knows how kids arrived safely. I was worrying all the way. Hilarious!!!! Toboggan is something i will travel again for it but until then i want to inform you that please fasten your seat belts nicely and you must manage the speed otherwise you will fly in the air. Thanks
Beautiful view and Cleanliness.
