The directions to the location are not so clear. It would also be helpful to guests to alert them that there is a network switch to Lesotho ones so they come prerared. It would be nice if the place offered towels and robes and bath soaps.

I guess it is part of the experience, but it was difficult for me to find out where we could hike and what our boundaries were. Also, I was nervous to walk too far since there was no cell phone signal and I had no idea what I would do if I needed help if I got stuck on a hiking trail.

The accommodation is excellent value for money. The views are breathtaking. It is quiet and there is too much space to begin to explore. I can think of no other place to go to rejuvenate one's soul. The dogs loved every second! Not that it was necessary but its good to know that Clarens is just a 30-minute drive away.

A little more information could have been provided on how to actually get to the lodge as it's about a 3km dirt road, which is more suited to 4x4 vehicles. No WiFi or cellphone signal, but WiFi can be arranged in advance. Also, there are no amenities such as tea, coffee, toilet paper or towels provided in the unit I stayed in. The unit was completely self-catering, which I was unaware of at the time of booking. I also had to upgrade my booking after first booking so that I could have a private bathroom. Next time I go I will be better prepared.

The road to the place are not mention in the description. If you have a car the is low you will not be able to get to the place. There are "hidden" road but they are block with big stones.

The room is freezing which is understandable as it is winter but it would be good to have more blankets or heaters. The fire extinguishers on the property have not been serviced and we didn’t have one in our room.

The surroundings are nice , always hot water ,a big plus,extra blankets were provided for cold nights .. a Boma would have been nicer closer to chalet , road to old mill should be scraped...overall excellent

this property is absolutely insane!! I never imagined that we would find such a hidden gem location at the end of that dirt road. from the epic landscape of mountains to the farm animals and horses, it was breathtaking. The people were so warm and welcoming, even helped us make fire!
