My apartment was up a lot of steep steps, difficult to carry heavy cases (not good for the elderly) The room is quite basic & only has a fan for temperature control.

The property is surrounded by hillside forest & overlooks the bay. The host was friendly & informative about places to eat & visit. The room was spacious.

The fridge should be removed from the cupboard as there is not enough space for ventilation for the fridge and heating up. Not really cooling done what is inside the fridge. The big ants is bit of a pain.

The view is an amazing. The pathway to the cottage is beautiful and very romantic. The setup is very nice, there is everything you need for self catering.

The little garden on the deck would have been better if it had been weeded. This wasn't a problem at all, just a mention of something that could make the place even better. With the garden itself being so lovely, the the grass growing in the deck garden was unexpected, but not an issue.

I loved the tranquility of the place. Very close to all amenities, but all of the trees buffer the sound so that you feel completely distant from them. My husband was working while we were there but I had a short holiday, and really enjoyed the peacefulness. I was happily surprised to find a pretty tea set in the kitchenette, and I enjoyed sitting on the deck sipping my tea while enjoying the lovely view. We even had a pair of loeries visit us! Lovely and relaxing.

A fantastic place to stay in Knysna - up the hill, among nice green trees, with lots of birds singing all around. The view itself was worth the money. The room was spacious with a huge terrace. It had everything to even cook, and an electric heater, which came in handy when it got a bit chilly. Parking is on the street.

The room is very spacious and comfortable in general and the view from The deck is beautiful. However, the pillows are in serious need of an upgrade. They are really cheap and uncomfortable - which does a disservice to the overall experience , which is otherwise very good

There was no DSTV. The desk chair is not very comfortable, that could have been better.

I loved it all... the only thing, if I had to say anything, would be, just to make sure people know, to get that spectacular view, obviously the property is up a few steepish hills...(just incase you dont love hills) - But, really nothing too hectic!

Absolutely stunning set up, feels as if you are in the middle of a forest, not just 5 mins from the N2 and 2 mins drive from the centre of Knysna! The view is spectacular, couldn't get over it! The King cottage had absolutely every appliance you would need, super comfy, clean... Cant fault it at all. An oasis, that made me feel like I was truly escaping everything!
