When we arrived we were told that they could not find our reservation and mind you it was paid upfront and we had to wait for about 30 minutes for the staff to try and trace our reservation. Eventually we were told that they will give us someone's room which I was not happy about but what other choice did I have cause I had already paid and it was too late .

Breakfast was ok, but the food was often not warm enough and variety for the warm breakfast was sort of limited on the 2nd day we were there, the pricing at the restaurant was a bit steep esp cereal and juice at R65 when a full warm meal is R80...really didn't make sense to me. The toilet in the room had a terrible stench that just lingered that needs to be attended to. The surface of the sink accumulated water when used as there is no drainage into the sink so it was just unpleasant and kinda gross, esp as there is also no soap dish so the hand soap and items get wet and soggy. I was disappointed to learn that the tips we add onto the restaurant bill are never paid over to the staff- this practice has to change immediately and the group has to do better by their staff and pay them what is due to them as we sometimes don't have cash to give them on settling the bill- the Marriot group has to do better esp now as times are hard and people need every cent to make ends meet...fix this coz you are nothing without happy and content and well-taken care of staff!! The gutter system needs to be looked at and fixed as I was woken up at 4am by the sound of water gushing out of the gutters when there were heavy rains on the Sat morning.

The facility was clean and the grounds well-maintained. Room was clean, comfy bed and I appreciated the pillow choice we had from hard to soft, I requested for a bar fridge and they made it possible for us to have it- thank u! The staff treated us very well and they were very courteous and respectful esp the restaurant staff. Our stay was otherwise comfortable and safe.

The hotel has excellent friendly staff and they are willing to assist you with anything. However, the hotel is tired and the rooms are tiny. The bathroom is also very small. The restaurant is not great and I wouldn’t recommend it. We had extremely noisy neighbors and we had to get up to ask them to quiet down a few times. They were screaming and banging on the walls and doors. This unfortunately was a negative for us as it was 2 nights in a row. The behavior of some guest were questionable, as woman walking around in lingerie etc. Not the kind of an environment when staying with young kids you want.

I would have loved a bar fridge in the room.

Clean room, space in the garden for the kids to stretch their legs after a long trip. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Restaurant is well priced and offers good tasting food. Garden seating outside rooms and restaurant is very pleasant. Maybe just something to note - all ground floor rooms overlook the pool, so it may sometimes be a little noisy.

Corridor in front of rooms have slate tiles so when people walk and cleaning trolleys and luggage pass by the room it makes a really loud noise.

The breakfast is fairly step, if you are having a family it becomes very expensive.

The place is easily accessible from the main highway, literally near the Cbd. The standout is the well maintained garden. The rooms are fairly comfortable. There were new towels in our room, everything worked well. The staff was quite accomodative, we ended up having a room upgrade to ensure the 2 rooms we booked were near each other.
