I arranged for a birthday cake during lunch for my hubby, but they forgot. The menu is small. The cake was old. The staff was very helpful tho and I wasn't charged for the cake.

I loved the room, it was big , the bed is so comfy and the bathroom was spacious. The aircon worked perfectly as a heater as it was quite cold. The breakfast Is amazing. The scenery is just so beautiful.

Untruthful response to my special request /question as to whether the hotel had sufficient vegetarian and vegan options . Refer to my question sent through the system . The response said that they have many options. Yet when I spoke to the Chef there were 2 options . Thus , the email received from the hotel via your system was lies .

Slight struggle with lock and key, after caressing the key and working out the quirks the door would unlock on first attempt.

Great breakfast, room was what was expected based on the photographs. Easy location to wedding venue that was in the area. Not a golfer, but perfect spot to play golf at the hotel or the nearby courses. Safe and secure access.

There were stains on the occasional chair in room 48.The bath water was orange in colour so dirty.

There were no offers to help the ladies with their luggage to their rooms, especially since their rooms were the furthest from reception. The rooms which we had booked had cold water on the first evening as the geyser was not switched on until after we enquired. The air-conditioners in a few rooms could not be used as a heater - we asked for assistance but nothing could be done as it was late in the evening. These should be looked into as the weather is getting colder. When we requested certain drinks at the restaurant, such as green tea, the waitress did not tell us that it wasn't available. We had to enquire again before she told us so. She did however offer alternatives.

I hosted a bridal shower at Selborne Golf Estate and Spa for 12 ladies - the staff were helpful, friendly and accommodated all our requests. To Jaques and Larry, thank you to you and your teams! The staff at The Terrace Restaurant prepared a delicious harvest table for us which was ordered in advance. They also prepared special vegetarian dishes for some of the ladies for dinner as I was skeptical of the buffet dinner as it was more meat inclined. All rooms booked were clean and comfortable. The spa had a couples special which a few of the ladies were able to take advantage of.

i spoke to the chef about dinner as I am a vegetarian and he was very helpful as there was nothing on the menu. The first 2 nights the food was good but the 3rd night a disaster. They could really elevate this hotel a notch with small touches. The complimentary shampoo and body wash could have been in a basket with a flower not just plonked by the basin. This hotel could be exceptional but apart from being on a stunning golf course , lovely garden and pool attention to detail was lacking.

Dinner and breakfast staff very poorly trained. Our table was marked as reserved but no cutlery, glasses etc. We ordered wine and was brought you the table. The waitress didn’t realise we can’t drink out of the bottle. Again we asked for glasses which took 5 min. No surpervision and attention to.

I wish they could have emphasised the distance between the hotel and the Airport, &/or most Points of Interests/local attractions. Makes it good for better planning and arrangements of transport.

It would have been helpful to have an information guide in the room, giving details of facilities available at the hotel as well as local information.

Check in & out not run efficiently. I was asked to pay a 50% deposit a few days before arrival with proof of payment which was done promptly. On arrival I was was again asked for proof of payment,and on checkout I was again asked for proof. Very embarrassing as I was with friends. I had to email proof on arrival & and again on departure. Surely you’d staff should be more efficient to see that payment was done .

Just our friends' room had some water issues in their room. Otherwise, all was PERFECT!

It is a beautiful and peaceful place. Our rooms were perfectly located with the coffee machine and fridge. The bathrooms are big enough and clean. The breakfast was perfect. The dinner (buffet) was reasonable. The waitresses and chefs were very welcoming and friendly. Most staff was helpful. Oh and the walk on the Faye Trail was amazing :-)
