The location and parking areas are dark look unsafe. There is damp smell awful.

1.) There were towels that weren't placed in the room and the next day I had to request additional towels when arriving back at the hotel 2.) The shower appeared somewhat blocked. The shower floor filled up and drained very slowly. The drain needs to be unblocked.

Unfortunately we found a few tiny cockroaches in the bathroom.. the upholstery especially on the occasional chairs truly does need a deep vacuum as there were a few stains on the couch.. The property does need some love as some things are falling apart.. A mini bar would have been great..

Despite the card in my room stating that there were more than 20 TV channels, only one channel was showing in my room. That one channel had showers such that I could not watch it (see attached).

The service by the staff was good. My room service meal was exceptional, props to the chef! The room was clean. I also liked the view from my room window (see attached).

The meals were not up to standards The housekeeping issues with towels need to be addressed. We had to keep asking for towels. Towels were removed each morning and then delivered around 6p.m. We had outings and needed to shower again before leaving the hotel and had to keep asking housekeeping for towels. Surely a 5 star resort has replacements towels to replenish instead of washing the same towels ...drying and sending back to the room.

Admin said they will call us when the room is ready but they did not we ended up driving to the facility to check around 6pm and it was ready, we needed that call because we were tired and wanted to rest

Washing bath towels seemed a challenge, so sometimes the old towels were already taken and new ones did not arrive yet. We would have been fine not having replacements every day, which is quite common in Europe and saves energy and water.

The highlight for us was the area around the swimming pool, with an amazing view on the Union buildings. We spent a good deal of our time relaxing there. The rooms are nice and comfortable, with a beautiful bathroom. An excellent feature is the “electric battery” with various sockets that fits most world plugs. We did not experience load shedding in the hotel, there is 24/7 current due to hotel generators. We used the parking throughout our 9 nights stay, always friendly staff attending. We sometimes had breakfast, lunch or dinner at the hotel. Good buffet and à la carte, friendly service everywhere. Finally, the central area is beautiful and reception very helpful. A tip for visitors: there is a Kwikspar supermarket 2 blocks away, a safe walk down the street.
