The door between the bathroom and the bedroom in our room needs a blind because the window in the shower has a bright light that shines through at night, which makes it difficult to sleep

We really enjoyed the beautiful and peaceful location. The room and the pool area under the trees were lovely and all staff were friendly.

First room was in desperate need of refurbishment we were moved and the next room was fine. The pool was pretty murky not appealing to have a swim in. No air conditioning and also no load shedding back up.

The position of the hotel gives fabulous views. Staff very helpful.

Part of the reason we booked Silvermist was that it had a restaurant as we didn't want to drive in the evening. However it turned out that the restaurant is not part of the hotel, is one if the best restaurants in Cape Town and was booked up for 4 weeks, lunch and dinner. It should not be mentioned as part of the estate. The drive up to the hotel is not for the faint hearted, especially not in the dark!

Our room was large, nicely furnished and the huge bed was very comfortable. Everything was spotless. The staff were lovely and very helpful, breakfast was perfect. We would be very happy to return on future trips.

The location as such is nice but everything looks is a bit outdated and building and rooms needs renovation. Flower beds look neglected. Breakfast staff is very friendly and helpful, but quality of the breakfast buffet isn’t great and more like in a youthhostel. Our standard room was the only room without sun loungers on the terrace. Sadly it was not possible to get any. Only one Bathrope for two people. We didn’t get a second one after requesting one. Very loud garden works in front of our room in the morning. The grass was cut with a loud and smelly motor device. It would have been nice to inform us or better even to wait until we are out of our room.

The only thing we didn't like was the lack of a fan or air conditioning. We felt we needed a bit more air in the room.

Beautiful location, could have stayed longer! Only issue was the fridge didn't work and had to throw away a lot of food. Also had to report a leaking toilet and leaking gas bottle.

Having tons of orange farms in the region we would have appreciated a fresh orange juice in the morning instead of powder juice. The gravel road to reach the lodge is quite exhausting, each time 30min on the road...

Limited choice for dinner (choice of 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 desserts) but absolutely excellent quality and service. Very beautiful rooms and comfortable bed. Very serene place to relax.

Be mindful, steep way up! The view from the gardensuite is nice but rather limited.

We booked a gardensuite in view of a lunch in la Colombe next door. The suite was large with even a fire place and a nice terrace. We had a lovely breakfast near the pool.

The bathrooms are very cold especially on windy days. Loud music from the 70ies over breakfast.

Perfect location right next door to the famous La Colombe restaurant. Beautiful views of the back side of table mountain. The huge fireplace. The fabulous smelling “earth” products. The rescue farm animals that roam around on the property freely.

The receptionist on arrival was extremely unwelcoming, didn’t greet us or even look up, he just pushed a paper across the desk to be signed.

The rooms are spacious but not very modern and would definitely need to be freshened up. Breakfast is very poor, compared to simular hotels I stayed at during my trip. The gardens and pool area are nice but seem pretty neglected, not very well kept indeed.

The hotel is located in the midst of Silvermist Wine Estate (Constantia), not to be recommended for people wanting to visit Cape Town and spend the evening there. The only reason to come here, in my opinion, is to have easy accommodation after an opulent dinner at the fancy "La Colombe" restaurant which is right next door. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Fortunately, when we were there the weather was perfect, but if it wasn't you might have difficulty with controlling the temperature.

It was right next to La Colombe restaurant. The grounds were nice with plenty of great views of the vineyards. The room was spacious and clean. Security was very good on the property. Breakfast was also good and on a sunny morning you can eat outside beside the pool only steps away from the room.

Security made it difficult for my Uber to enter the estate.

Room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Very cosy and comfortable. Pricing was affordable. We stayed here as we wanted to eat dinner at La Colombe restaurant located on site.

Breakfast was so so,… Something the hotel can improve on a lot. The terrace/patio was not clean. Cigarette buts in ashtray (from the previous guests?) which were not cleaned.
