Just one small problem, there are a lot of flies at times due to being on a farm with lots of cows, but the owners do supply a spray for them, just to keep that in mind, but it certainly did not put us off, we are going to return again in the near future.

the cottage we had was a little piece of paradise, it was stunning, huge king beds in both rooms, en suite bathrooms, the best was the outside shower, oh yes and the fire-pit, every little thing was thought of, and when there was loadshedding we could still watch the tv and we had lamps still on, bedding was superb quality, the bed was comfortable. Huge garden, pretty flowers all over, just too lovely. The dam was close, and the farm is huge, we drove to the dairy, massive grounds, a real working farm.

The cottage is delightful and very well appointed. The bed, linen and towels are luxurious! A lovely touch was the home-made bread, eggs, milk, butter and feta cheese from the diary - all delicious.

We had an incredibly massive storm the first night we arrived and our unit was completely flooded, several large trees were also unrouted. The staff helpfulness to get us settles into an upgraded unit was really nice of them, they were great in helping us. Fresh farm milk, feta cheese, farm bread - so good!

The sheets in the one room where a little damp but it wasn't too much of an issue -at least we know they wash the sheets -lol

The rooms and whole house where fantastic - very well looked after and receiving the fresh milk, eggs, butter and bread where a cherry on top. The units are fully self catering but they provided the essentials for us along with fire wood which was great.

I would definitely recommend this place if you are travelling with dogs. We had a wonderful stay in the Wilde Als Cottage. I was so happy we chose this cottage as it has a huge yard, and we were traveling with our Border Collie. The yard is safe and fenced in, so she could play her little heart out. On our arrival we received a freshly baked bread, milk and feta. Deborah was also really friendly and helpful with the check-in and check-out processes. We went for wonderful walks on the farm and enjoyed the views and animals. It should also be noted that there a few pet-friendly restaurants near the farm that are absolutely amazing. We would love to go back to the farm any day.
