Super convenient location and incredibly private. Wonderful views of the mountains. Unit is exceptionally spacious and excellent value for the money. We are already recommending The Bunker to our friends for any trips they may be considering to Drakensberg. Jo is very thoughtful and communication was excellent in all respects. Would book again without hesitation.

There was nothing not to like.

We had the pleasure of meeting hostess Jo Hedges on the day we arrived and again on departure. From the word go Jo was very accommodating we had chocolate spoils, a welcome postcard and complimentary breakfast. She was extremely friendly and hospitable. The place is neat and cozy, surrounded by breath taking views. Ideally located-All amenities are in close approximity to The Bunker which is super fantastic.

The monkeys, but obviously one can't do anything about. Just for future guests - pay attention to the notices in the unit. The monkeys are very cheeky and very clever, and will be in your unit in seconds. 🐒🐒

Everything. Bonus was a generator during loadshedding. We had a heatwave and the unit gets very warm, the fans were a godsend.

Would have preferred fresh scones and muffins for breakfast, as apposed to leaving them in the fridge overnight, for the next two mornings. Just because they go hard and no longer feel fresh but otherwise, the rest of the breakfast items were good. Small cleaning details overlooked, just because I'm a host myself and noticed :)

Most amazing views and located in the best spot to get to all the major attractions that's a stone throw away. There were special treats left on our beds by the host and the fridge was full of yummy breakfast items that the whole family enjoyed. We had a blast and a very memorable stay.

It is perfectly located, lots of places to visit nearby. The property was amazing, very neat and comfortable. The host was friendly and a pleasure to speak to. We will definetly be back to the Bunker and I will recommend it to friends and family.

The wifi was a major problem( reinforced in other reviews) which for most travellers now is an essential, especially international travellers. This needs to be addressed, even if Jo charged a little more. A personal meet and greet might also be useful if possible.

Location, quirkiness of design and Jo left welcoming treats.it had a wonderful view of the Drakensberg Ranges.

Wow! What an amazing place to stay, I couldn't recommend it enough. Definitely one of the most unique places I've ever stayed in, and I imagine similar to what a very cosy Hobbit Hole must be like. Such a comfortable place, with awesome views and huge grounds from which to see the spectacular Drakensberg Mountains. Quiet, serene and peaceful, and Jo was a wonderful host. Thank you for an amazing stay and unique experience! 😁

The yard is big and so secure. Jo was friendly and really made our stay worthwhile. It was my daughters birthday. The breakfast and chocolates provided made her day more special. We saw amazing zebras. My kids enjoyed the place.

The Mountain views from the Bunker was exceptionally beautiful. The cottage has every amenities necessary for a stay away from home. Breakfast was an added bonus and so was the chocolates.We loved the peace and tranquility. Jo was in touch with us until our arrival and was kind enough to provide directions to the place. Overall we received excellent service and would recommend the Bunker to friends and family.

Nothing. Everything was just perfect for this little place.

WE absolutely loved staying at this place. Pet friendly, kids friendly. My kids loved walking around the huge yard with the dogs. The View is unbelievably beautiful. The beds was comfortable. The place was clean and well taken care of.
