If you are interested in nature and tranquility, this is not the right place. Rooms have very limited view and the walls to the neighbors are paper-thin. Staying in the very sparsely decorated room is not inviting. All in all more the ambiance of a business hotel rather than a vacation guest house.

Super nice and helpful owners. If you want to spend your time in the center of town, you can't get any closer. Rooms modern and clean, easy keyless access system, parking lot directly behind the house. Breakfast can be had in the yummy bakery downstairs.

All the stairs, I am a tad unfit. Headboard was loose and made a noise against the wall. We had to shove a pillow behind it. Didn't want neighbors to think we were up to something.

Close proximity to all the activities. Staff and owners were very friendly. Constantly updated us on things to do.

Very minor, the TV is a bit small for the distance from the couch.

We had a wonderful stay at the Courtyard Guesthouse. We stayed in the Family Room which is a two bedroom, one bathroom cottage (the bathroom is en-suite to the main bedroom). It was well equipped with a full kitchen, dining area, and lounge (and a coffee pod machine with some complimentary coffee pods and milk). We got the bed and breakfast option and the breakfast at the attached bakery was superb! The bakery itself would be a recommendation in its own right - great food and coffee. The property is located on the main square of Clarens, a perfect location to walk around. Jane was a wonderful host who made a point of making sure we were well looked after. Highly recommend staying here!

The location was fabulous. Right in the centre. The landlady was so helpful in her recommendations for eating and spa treatments. She couldn't do enough for us. She made herself available at all times for enquiries. Can't praise her enough. Thank-you

Wake up by birds’ noise at 5am😂

Perfect position. Warm welcome. Clean and repainting new rooms. Enough cooking tools and items. Prepared drinking water, coffee and milk. Lovely recommendation about activities around. Amazing Clarens nature reserve. Perfect weather. Everything much better than expected.

The host was very welcoming and informative about restaurants and places of interest. The sherry in the room was a lovely gesture that I havent seen in any other place.I loved the smell of freshly baked goodies in the mornings.

Next time I would take a bigger room, not that we spent much time in the room. But I see 2 of the rooms were a little bigger.

It is lovely to stay above the bakery and smell the bread every morning. Jane, the host, was amazing and very helpful. The location was central, so we walked everywhere.

The rooms were spacious, stylish, neat and very comfortable. They were also ideally located in town square, which means everything else were reachable by foot. Check-in was super easy. The hosts were friendly, attentive and always available. We had such a lovely stay and we would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.
