The staff were faultless. They were friendly, courteous and spoilt us with birthday champagne, little cakes, a OB peak and tote bag. They made our 3 days!

The Oyster Box is the best hotel in South Africa! The breakfast out of this world, service top and the room was perfect.

TV reception didn't work for a number of days My daughter and her husband got quite sick on the last day and a half - we suspect the ice in their cooldrinks. They did not swim in the sea or walked on the beach.

For vegetarian guests we found the menu's in the hotel a bit restricting but we managed well with what was on offer.

To date - the best experience in a South African Hotel! From the staff at reception to the cleaners in the rooms - exceptional. Exceptional breakfast - biggest variety of excellent foods served at the Terrace Restaurant overlooking the ocean.

If I’m to nitpick, I’d say it’s a bit tough for a light sleeper - the rooms have wooden blinds which don’t fully block out the light, which made it a bit difficult to sleep, but once I was asleep it was ok.

The staff are their biggest asset. Not just friendly but very thoughtful. Despite it being a big hotel the service felt very personal. They called us by name, they all seemed genuinely happy to work there.

Noise levels at our room - trolleys at 5; housekeeping after 21h00, spoilt kidz making a noise at 1 in the morning

The breakfast is absolutely amazing. The oysters and sparking wine fantastic The friendly staff and the service outstanding. Going to the Oysterbox is not a vacation, it is a experience. Thank you for always making as feel as if we are the most important guests in the hotel. Well done

I struggled with putting the aircon on heat mode. It isnt friendly at all...

The staff are very friendly, the location is perfect, I loved the adjustable lights, the heated towel rack, the quality and smell of the soaps, lotions and shower gels, the dinner was also amazing and the room service is very quick and the overall ambiance was just perfect. The staff will ensure that they go over and above your needs and expectations by providing you extras that you request for such as roses, candles, back and neck support.

Breakfast excellent ,spoilt for choice! It was our 41st wedding anniversary and all the staff made us feel very special. Champagne,cake and chocolate surprise on our arrival to our room,was very thoughtful and kind and much appreciated.

Hotel was a lot more expensive for food and beverage than anywhere else we ate at. Family rooms and bathrooms were a touch small.

Amazing buffet breakfast, excellent facilities and kids club. Nothing was too much effort and attention to detail (even the types of toys the children were playing with) was exceptional. Fantastic spa, swimming pool, views and location.

We paid a LOT of money for a family suite and it was so small, we couldn't even open our suitcases on the floor. The rooms were also a little dated and tired , we still highly recommend the hotel, it was a great experience

It was a beautiful hotel with so much character, breakfast and food, simply amazing. Bar areas great too, we loved the bar up stairs. So much variety with high tea, Indian buffet, grill restaurant. Nice ocean views, great pool area.
