amazing Ocean view, super comfy and family friendly

I stayed in White Sands and it smelled musty. The slip cover on the couch needs to be laundered to remove all the mould stains. The bathroom towels were rough and a little frayed on the edges. Generally, the place could do with freshening up - it’s a little down at heel.

The view is superb and Elsa warmly welcomed me, providing all the info I needed for my stay. Breakfast was fresh and delicious. Lovely hosts!

We arrived on a cold and rainy afternoon. Elsa welcomed us in the most warm and friendly manner, we felt at home immediately. Small items such as an extra blanket and a heater were readily available. The views were lovely from the rooms and dining room and the beach within walking distance from our room. Elsa's knowledge about the eateries and tourist attractions added to our memorable stay. Will visit again.

Access to our room meant going up a narrow staircase, and once in our room, there was another narrow staircase. Navigating it was tricky. Going up and down carrying luggage was just looking for trouble. So we left our suitcases in the downstairs area and carried our clothes/toiletries upstairs to shower. We couldn't figure out how to turn on the bedside lights upstairs.

The facilities are fabulous. The staff are wonderful and the view is stunning! My sister and I really enjoyed our time there.

Our stay was too short!

Beautiful view from the lodge. We felt it had a good vibe amongst the staff and guests. Breakfast is served on the 1st floor with a wonderful view of the beach and sea. The staff are all friendly and helpful.

Taking in consideration the age of the property it was in a fairly good condition, but a nip and a tuck here and there would not hurt 😅 I must say that the view from my room and the friendlyness of the host ,Elsa, and all the other staff made up for it all.

The view was awesome. All the staff were fantastic and very helpful. The breakfast was very nice and I loved the fact that they didn't mind making me an omelette or french toast.....

The manager,Elsa hands- on effeciency, hospitally and friendliness is on a next level. The gardens is a feast for the eye and added bonus to spectacular sea views.

A little tired but not an issue for us

The location is amazing. Overlooking The Indian Ocean. Walking distance to Salinas bar and restaurant on the beach. Great stop off whilst driving The Garden Route

The Lodge was perfect for our one night stay - a clean and stylish ocean-facing room with relaxing outdoor loungers, professional and friendly service - and the very well prepared breakfast was a standout. I wish we had stayed longer and I would highly-recommend.

Some areas of room a bit tired especially the sofa which was not comfortable and tiles missing from shower floor.

Location directly on the beach and also use of the gardens for sunbathing. Very large room. Breakfast room had great views and breakfast was very good. Hotel also had other sitting areas which could be used by guests. Very efficient laundry service.

This is simply one of the most fantastic places we've ever stayed at! The view from the room is incredible, you can walk to the beach straight from your room. The owner was super friendly and helpful. We only stayed one night and would love to come back!
