Absolutely everything: We arrived in the most beautiful oasis of calm in Robertson - the place is breathtakingly laid out with huge rooms overlooking small swimming pools and patios, attention is the best we've ever had and the food is delicious. There is a wine tasting room, a cozy bar, and several verandahs to relax in and look at yet another beautiful part of the gardens. Almost a shame we cannot keep it our secret ! Probably the loveliest hotel we have stayed in the world, honestly!

Unfortunately a strong wind came upon the evening of our arrival which caused a tree which reached over the roof of our room to bend an bow and the branches kept scratching on the roof and Rooflight during the night. It also had a hard seed pod which kept falling and banging on the roof. We did report this to management and hopefully they will arrange for the branches to be trimmed . The only other challenge was that the outdoor shutters were not secured and also kept banging in the wind this was easily managed by closing the shutters which unfortunately shut off the view over the pool and garden. Perhaps another method of securing the shutters when they are open can be found

as before the property is in an excellent location and the staff and facilities were wonderful. We arrived late afternoon on a Sunday and they provided a great salad to see us through until Dinner time where we experienced a wonderful menu choice. The next morning we had a super breakfast that got us off to a great start to the day

The bedrooms are really lovely and there is great care and attention to detail at this hotel. The gardens are also really lovely and the team on site full of smiles. I will definitely go back some time. Delicious breakfasts and dinners too.

The hotel needs a bit of TLC. Broken tiles in the bathroom, pool missing paint, cushions full of spots, does not deserve 5 stars. Restaurant not as good as 2 years ago. Menu relatively basic. pork belly tough, requires a better chef.

It is like a paradise in Robertson - we enjoyed our trip to the fullest. The staff is so lovely and really pays attention to every detail! I can only recommend the hotel!

Rooms need a bit of TLC. There is no generator. All businesses in South Africa should have one, especially at the price of the hotel.

We got upgraded to the honeymoon suite which was incredible and huge. The welcoming bottle of sparkling wine and the free mini bar was a surprise. Even a car wash in the morning! The hotel and gardens are really breathtaking.

I don't think there was anything we disliked. The location is quite out of the way so it is perfect for enjoying & relaxing at the hotel - so therefore it is not a place I would stay too long at but nothing negative.

After a delayed flight, The Robertson was exactly what we needed. We loved our room and that it had a little balcony onto the pool. Felt private but also just nice to laze around and read without needing to leave the room but still by the water. Also loved the restaurant. Food was excellent, wine selection was very good! (Cheeky pre-dinner cocktails very yum too!) Obsessed with the cactus garden. Stunning! Staff were all so lovely and helpful!

Would advise for hotel to have some sort of power back up system with loadshedding.

This is a really great little hotel. I can't fault anything. It's clean, comfortable, very well decorated, and the garden is pretty. The staff are exceptionally helpful and friendly. The restaurant was great, excellent food, excellent service. It's nicely situated in Roberson, which is very convenient for the local wine route. We didn't find a lot to do in Robertson, except for the wine route, but that's why we went there, so we were very happy.
