The suites weren't available so we ended up having to stay at the Garden Double. It's a little bit too small for our liking as our bags were quite huge.

Breakfast was just awesome as usual! Most of the staff remembered us even though we last stayed at the hotel 4 years ago.

Outside people booking tables on the hotel stoep. Hotel guest should have fist pick to utilize this important area of the hotel.

Second time I stayed at this hotel and felt it worth while. I strongly recommend it. Rooms are good, breakfast is impressive and staff are helpful. Location of the hotel is spot on and the stoep is a must try.

Because of load shedding tea and coffee facilities were not available The hotel is on battery back up so I can understand why the kettles etc were not available. There did not seem to be porters available? Path to room very uneven

Pool disappointing, not well positioned, did not cater for more than a few people. Doors ill-fitting, and difficult to lock. Safe in the room not working. Dining area very dimly lit, with some globes not working in the chandeliers.

There was a lot of confusion around an upgrade pre booked through bookings that didn’t pull through at all, incorrect requested room assigned from original booking, including the incorrect number of guests sent through from the Bookings team. Fortunately, the requested rooms were available, and the staff did accommodate discounting the rate due to the errors after complaining. A point to note is the Bookings App offered an upgrade with the incorrect number of guests included i.e. differing form the origional booking and this was not clearly highlighted on the upgrade offer.

Excellent location and the beautiful historic original hotel, though we didn’t get to stay in the original hotel. Beautiful views of the Mountain and lake. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

A very nice hotel beautifully located in a very pleasant town. Our evening meal was one of the best I have ever had. Room was very comfortable with a nice, spacious bathroom. Having breakfast on the stoep, with its views of small town life, was another highlight.

We didn't get cleaning service of the room. Although we have been asked on first day of our stay if we need our room servicing which we have refused as we have only just arrived, no other cleaning service was provided during the visit. There were few things which weren't working in the room (lamp, telephone). There was no kettle in the room Apparently due to load shedding. No free bottle of water upon arrival. If more attention would be payed to those small details the fotel would be really fantastic.

A beautiful old hotel, full of history. We have been to Riebek earlier but in different accomodation and we really wanted to be back one day and have a couple of days in this place. We went for one of the old rooms to make our stay more authentic. It's defo on the small side and have little patio but has it's oldy-woldy charm to it. The room was very clean. The stuff very friendly and always helpful. Service perhaps on slow side but you are there to sit and enjoy time passing. It's defo worth waiting for delicious meals! Enormously good breakfasts and long, lazy afternoons on the famous hotel stoop with a glass of G&T.

Excellent service in the hotel - such lovely, friendly staff! Just a great stay overall. The hotel is gorgeous and the setting just perfect. Would love to stay again.

The room was quite noisy being next to the front porch and the smoke of people came into the room. The service was quite slow, especially dinner and it was only the 2 of us in the dining room.

Service at dinner on Saturday night was a little patchy but we hadn’t booked so this may have contributed. No hairdryer in the room but requested one from reception and was able to keep it in the room for duration of the stay.

Lovely old world interior. Comfortable rooms and good sized full bathroom. The long beautiful verandah is the hotels best feature (besides the warm and efficient staff) and the perfect place to enjoy one of the many gins on offer from the bar. Nice small pool, well-kept grounds. Good breakfast. We really had a wonderful stay and felt well looked after. Excellent value for money.
