Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomOur stay was in shoulder season and there were several events on at the hotel, one of which caused a disturbed night. The hotel is also on the road and the traffic has increased over the years.
The Twelve Apostles is a landmark property which borders the lower slopes of Table Mountain. The staff are professional and enthusiastic. Our lunch at Azure to celebrate two 80th birthdays was fantastic.

United KingdomThe temperature of the heated pool was still too cold to us. However there was use of heated pools in the spa. There is really nothing else to improve in my opinion.
Breakfast catered for all our needs, whatever we wanted. The location and views are breathtaking with the added bonus of a good view of a ship wreck. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and humorous. We enjoyed our stay so much we can’t wait to go back!

United KingdomGreat hotel. Expensive but you get what you pay for. A luxury hotel, fantastic views and sunsets, really attentive staff (the concierge team were really helpful). A drive into Cape Town but the free shuttle service was really good. Highly recommended. The breakfasts were good and the bars were welcoming.
