Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

ZambiaThere was no transport arrangements from the hotel to Cape Town International Conventional Center where our 2024 Entrepreneurship Congress was being held. We didn't have enough time to see or shop in Cape Town.
What I liked the most was that the Zambian delegation from Pretoria was also booked at Urban Oasis Aparthotel. This made me as a Chief to be more comfortable, and I felt very safe. They took good care of me. On my departure day, the hotel attendant was very good. He was very helpful and made sure that I left the hotel in good time to catch my flight back to Zambia at 04 00 hours.

South AfricaThat housekeeping come knocking at your door before check out to ask whether you are checking out today . We know when we checking out and we know what time we should be out . Its disturbing for someone to come knocking at your door while busy getting ready to check out , just to remind you the time too . That is the only thing we are not happy about .
The room is comfortable. Makes you feel at home . Just right for two people . We enjoyed our stay .

United StatesGrab bars in the shower would've been good.
Urban Oasis Aparthotel was one hotel that i was sad to leave. Everything about the hotel helped me to enjoy my stay in Cape Town. Descriptive words would be: clean, quiet, secure, comfortable, central, with the best staff ever. Enkosi!

QatarStayed in Room 01 on the first floor the WI-FI in it is the absolute worst , you cannot even open a simple WhatsApp image . The connection is significantly better as soon as you leave the room. Regarding the Room 01 I wouldn’t advise as well as it’s near the wooden stairs and they get quite noisy as people thump and step on them I do not recommend at all if you’re trying to rest. It was overall a comfortable stay , and I recommend to try the Gatsby sandwich in the eatery. It’s huuuge! Side note: (The elevator in the hotel is super unreliable) The other downside from the stay was that it’ seems the staff can storm into your room whenever they deem fit , and incident occurred where they said they were investigating something reported by other hotel customers and just stormed into the room using their access key card , it was very traumatizing and it was very difficult to trust the privacy of the room after That incident. The positive from the incident was that the management apologized and sent a complimentary bottle of wine but however it did reduce the hotel experience drastically.
Our stay at Urban Oasis had both ups and downs as you would expect when you stay at a place for a week. The initial expected location (CBD) on paper was an exciting prospect as all major attractions are close by but however the CBD area (and this is not the hotels fault) seems rather degraded with constant smells of urine and cigarette smoke. The area of course , is great , it’s about ZAR70 from the WATER FRONT MALL and about ZAR150 FROM boulders beach and canal walk mall. The hotel itself doesn’t really have aesthetically pleasing views of the Table mountain , you would have to climb up to the rooftop bar to experience that. The bar itself is quite comfortable and the service from the team is amazing. Prices are decent as well. The room is quite small, but cosy. It has all the necessary furnishings for a short and long stay (washing machine cutlery fridge etc…) The room had an amazing A/c a large Samsung smart tv with Netflix and YouTube as welll. The security around the area seems to be quite good as there’s a high security presence in the area .

United KingdomWe didn’t like the location, felt a bit uneasy walking around the nearby streets, there are security guards on duty around the hotel so felt absolutely fine once inside. We got an Uber each time we left the apartment and the same to return.
The room was very comfortable and clean. The apartment had everything we needed full size cooker, fridge freezer and washing machine, plenty storage space. The staff were all really nice, friendly and helpful.

NetherlandsNothing!
The room was spacious and had everything we needed for our week in Cape Town: a big bed, a fridge, a washing machine, stove and lots and lots of room for all our stuff. We loved it here. Personnel was also great. Very friendly and helpful. Location was perfect. In a very safe area, with secured parking available (100 rand per day), many restaurants and musea nearby and actually in the middle of it all. Perfect spot for your holiday in Cape Town!

AustraliaPart of the city falling apart and even with local knowledge, hard to move around at ease. Due to this the food facilities/options hard to maintain - not enough cliental, etc.
Good location central for Cape Argus cycling event. Good facilities in the room - washing machine was nice bonus. Everything worked and staff very helpful.

United KingdomOur windows were left open a couple of days and lights left on after servicing the room, which meant some mosquitoes were able to get into the room (it also seemed odd to leave lighting on wastefully in a country that has rolling blackouts/loadshedding?). Also our shampoo/soaps were not replaced as expected.
The location was super central to Cape Town to all of the main tourist attractions. There were plenty of places to eat nearby - the Italian restaurant "The Cousins Trattoria" was absolutely brilliant!

South AfricaAt night the neighborhood is a bit dodgy. I would recommend Uber to get to your destination at night and not walking.
Room was spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed there because of the Cape Town cycle race hotel was about a 2 minute walk from the start which was great.
