We loved the beauty and quietness of being in the mountains and that we could leave straight from our room for a hike. This was the most comfortable apartment with a kitchenette that we stayed it. Everything is brand new and spotless. The bathroom is large and the room was spacious. The hosts are very nice and Vanessa answered immediately on whatsapp in English. It's a little over 20 minutes to drive to Varenna from the parking lot so it's easy to drive over to visit - preferably after the day crowds leave. There is a supermarket in town and of course the Agriturismo has it's own restaurant. Dinner was plentiful (you might want to fast all day to have room!) They even made special vegan dishes for one of us.

Hiking Israel

Magical place, amazing surroundings. View of the mountains above and the lake below. 10 minute walk to car park. For bagage they can pick you up. Amazing restaurant on the premises (fixed menu, affordable, inform when it’s open). Beautiful hikes right out of your door step. Refugios in the area to hike to if that’s your thing. Mandello is less touristy than Varenna, but has better restaurants.

L'appartamento è molto accogliente e comodo. Il ristorante proponeva per la cena delle portate generose e di qualità, in un ambiente rustico e caloroso. La gestrice Vanessa è stata disponibilissima e gentile, sempre attenta alle nostre esigenze.

Agriturismo a conduzione familiare davvero carino. Appartamenti semplici ma dotati di tutti i confort, ben riscaldati (siamo stati in inverno) e puliti. La cucina è fatta di piatti semplici ma veramente deliziosi. Un grazie particolare al giovane cuoco che stende delle fettuccine meravigliose, alla cameriera sempre gentile e a Vanessa sempre disponibile alle richieste. Unica nota: renderei più chiaro che per raggiungere l’agriturismo è necessario o percorrere una mulattiera davvero ripida oppure chiamare per farsi venire a prendere dai proprietari dell’agriturismo. Se cercate relax e buon cibo è il posto che fa per voi….se siete per la mondanità opterei per una soluzione che consenta più facilmente di raggiungere le sponde del lago!
