Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United Statesit’s a functional museum at the highest level of art and history.
The staff was exceptionally nice. Everybody knew my name after my first 10 minutes in the hotel. I had two guided tours of all of the private sections of the hotel, including the presidential suite or better known as the bedroom of the prince and princess. They like to call it a home instead of a hotel, and they want you to think of them as family instead of staff. Job well done people!

AustriaThe doors to the corridor need to be updated. You can fit an entire hand between the door and the floor. So in terms of privacy... there isn't much. But it sort of goes hand in had with the old school style of the hotel.
The breakfast was excellent, the location was fantastic, the hotel oozes old world charm. We received an upgrade and were in a beautiful suite, with a separate seating area and a dividing wall. A bit rickety in places, but I am not sure I would want it to all be sleek and super duper. It is more personal and feels like a home from home, much better than the corporate impersonal hotels that one can come across.

We had the most amazing stay at this luxurious hotel. Our palatial room and the hotel itself were opulent and sumptuous. The decor / furniture were stunning. Our room was spacious, comfortable & clean, and had a balcony overlooking the city. We felt like royalty! The staff were exceptional - very helpful, genuinely welcoming & friendly and very bright. The food was fantastic, and the hotel has a lot of amenities (gym, pool / sauna, concierge) to make your stay comfortable. The location is very central (5 min walk to Opera House, 15 min walk to Hofburg Palace and surrounding museums) & convenient. We can’t wait to come back again!

A smart Television would be great with Netflix etc. Alternatively the option to Chromecast to the current television. The bike in the gym wasn't functioning. Doorman extremely friendly and helpful. Reception staff could be more welcoming when passing.
Breakfast I felt a little expensive so I didn't order it. Location was outstanding. Very quiet room. Beds so comfortable. Room Service excellent.

our hair straightener got stolen from the bedroom and the manager was so concerned that they bought us one (same expensive brand), they have apologised 1000 times plus they gave us a chofer for free beck to the airport. we appreciate this plus they kick out the person who took care of the bedroom
