lovely and friendly staff who went out of their way to make our stay pleasant

Rating could have been 9 or even 10 but we have 2 things to mention: 1. No fridge in the room but the space is there in the wardrobe. Could have been handy since we arrived with a baby. 2. We had half board with buffet style for soups and desert. However for the last evening it was not buffet and they also said that at lunchtime they had run out of desert and also some of the soup options. The reason for the missing buffet was that “you are the only one on half board”. Not acceptable.

Nice location, beautiful surroundings, village in walking distance, close to Graz and mountain trails. Helpful staff, clean and spacious rooms. Delicious and plenty breakfast. Even better than expected.

Dining experience was unfortunately not entirely satisfactory. Staff - although friendly - very inattentive, it took 10 minutes to be seated and another 15 minutes to order. Schnitzel was good, but salads had to be taken from an almost empty buffet and had a lot of room for improvement.

Decent family-run place in the rolling hills of Styria just outside Semriach. Neat and tidy rooms, quiet location, very friendly staff, excellent value for money.

Breakfast - it is typical Austrian breakfast - meat, cheese, yoghurts, breads, some veg, hardly any fruits and almost nothing non-diary. To our surprise our humble question in regards to possibility to prepare for our allergic kid pancakes with no milk/butter was denied with a comment that it is not possible to make. Well, it is first time we have been denied in last 5 years traveling across most of European countries. Pity.

Location wise is wonderful, top of the mountain, views over surrounding area, tons of horses wherever you look. Hotel as such consists of two buildings which might be a bit confusing for first arrival in the night. We had a very late arrival but the room has been waiting for us and the key was there.

Nothing much. The lady that served the dinner was very busy and therefore not always very nice. It was warm and full house so she was running. We understand.

Very nice facilities. Big rooms. Clean. Swimming pool, big sun deck, large garden, tennis courts. Good food! Simple but very good.

With the hotel being located in the mountains, the roads are very winding and at night can be difficult to navigate

The indoor pool was a bit too cold for my taste. Was good as a refreshment after the sauna.

A wonderful place to relax and recharge. Everything looks like new, spotless and beautiful. Very vegan friendly! The kitchen made vegan soup and desserts specially for me, that was super sweet of them.

The smell from the canalization.

Location is perfect, highly recommended the hike to Kasselfall. Hotel is pretty old, but well maintained and comfortable to stay for 1 night. pool and sauna open till 9 p.m., but reception where you get robe and towels works till 8 p.m.

A Hvac issue. Under the main building there is a pool with sauna. This is ok. What is not ok is the noise and vibrations (reverberations) of the ventilator used to extract the moisture. It is not well insulated and the big motor is transmitting vibrations and noise throughout the building. However, they shut it down late in the evening around 23.00. But until then it feels like your head is sleeping in the back of the refrigerator. It is a issue hard to ignore by some people (including me) It is a big NO NO in the hospitality industry to have industrial noise transmitted into the bedrooms. I was there especially for the silance and the scenery.

The food was great and the staff very helpful.

The guest rooms do not have air conditioning or fans, which made sleeping at night more difficult due to the summer heat.

The rooms with balconies and flowers, the nice bathrooms, the friendly and very-helpful staff, the staff's willingness to accommodate requests or needs, the pool and lounging area nearby, the restaurant, the lovely mountain location
