Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

RomaniaYou are not able to split cost among me and colleague. You don't receive any invoice separately. You receive only the receipt that you have paid. Rooms too small in my opinion. Breakfast was good but limited in terms of choices. It is OK for one night. Rooms lean, but I have seen better examples in my life.
The location is good, near to the highway. The automation was good, we could check in using our booking.

South AfricaFor the price it is a bit basic, and the towels could use a bit of an update but other than that it was a great stay.
The hosts are very helpful and kind, and make sure everyone feels at home. Breakfast is nothing fancy but very tasty and something for everyone. The rooms are very neat and clean and comfortable with heating. It is super close to the bus and tram stop so easy to get anywhere you want to be.

Czech Republic- Parking fee in the street 7€ - Room view is an old factory.Its a dirty, noisy backstreet. Horrible. - The head of the bed is at the wall corridor. - General feeling of being in a low cost hostel - The room is different than in pictures, fully white with pipes shown bellow in the bathroom like tiles where missing. It remains a hospital. - We asks a cradle for a baby and gave us just the option of a bed that we should paid. - No receptionist in the evening.

DenmarkLack of respond to my questions via email (language barrier?). No ventilation at the bathroom. No ironing options. No English information in the room - you will have to understand German. Wi-Fi did disconnect randomly several times - very annoying as your device showed full connection, but there was none... You needed to disconnect and then connect again... To much white bread at the breakfast...
Location was good with access to public transportation within a short walk. Spacy room, i.e. you could get around the bed. You could open the windows for fresh air. Nice selection of fresh products at the breakfast and a good coffee. When the Wi-Fi worked it had good connectivity.

I think that this is some type of hotel where people go to have intercourse or something. Very weird because there is no reception

HungaryThe communication was a bit rough. The first message I wrote I got a reply, but the second I wrote a day before the arrival I never got any answer to, so I never knew that early check in was not possible. We arrived 25 minutes before 2 pm and and we had to wait as the self check-in machine didn't allow us to get in, so keep that in mind when arriving. Maybe other days there is someone at the reception but we got there on a Sunday so no one was in sight. The vegetables at the breakfast were not fresh either.
It is an okay accommodation for a few nights, nothing special, very basic. Our room was clean, the bed comfortable. Although it is not in the city center, it is right next to a bus stop and the stop of tram 1 and 2 and those take you to the city center in 15-20 minutes. There is also a Hofer, a supermarket only 5 minutes away.

IsraelGood: the self-check in was really easy. Bad: When we arrived to the place at Sunday evening we didn't know if we can park the car in front of the hotel because there was a sign wich says we must pay fee or we will get a ticket. We didn't know how much to pay and to whom, but there was nobody at the desk to ask it, and nobody answered the phone. We called few times. It was *extremely* frustrating! In addition I requested something from the host when we did booked the room (an extra pillow) and I didn't get it.
