Central location - the hotel is literally in the main square, so shops, cafes and restaurants are nearby. We arrived earlier than our check-in time and it was nice that the staff let us leave our luggage at the hotel and we could go and explore the city until our room was ready. The same when we had to leave - we checked-out in the morning and since we still had a few hours until our train, we left our bags and came to pick them up later - thankful for that! We stayed for only one night and we didn't lack anything - the room was clean, cozy and quiet. Glad that there was heating in the room - although our stay was in the end of April, it wasn't very warm yet and it rained, so it was nice to come back to a warm room and also I could dry my raincoat faster. A nice touch - there was a bottle of mineral water in our room.

We were there on May 1. Taxis weren’t allowed on the square. We missed our train trying to find a taxi. Wish hotel had been aware of situation, but I don’t blame them!!

Location was great. Handy to the streetcar and many restaurants in the area.

Somehow, I had to pay extra for the breakfast, which is included in the Level 2 booking, and I pay for the overnight parking. I assumed these service are included in the price as described in the hotel advertisement. Anyways, all was at quality.

The classy room interior kept traditional, old furniture, wooden floor, wall decorations. The show and WC area is new and very modern, made of large stones and glass. Cleanness and space are excellent.

Hotel is very central at main square with good connection by local transport and close to restaurants and shops. Great elegant hotel and classic style. Top clean rooms and bathrooms. Very helpful and kind staff. Nicely served and rich breakfast. Parking is in close by Central square parking garage (hotel has discount). All was perfect! We enjoyed our stay too much, thank you!

The bed was very comfortable but the rest of the furniture (which are very nice antiques) need repairs.

The booking process on booking.com is a nightmare. I paid a 100 € more than booking.com’s initial offer. I once updated my booking intentionally, the system updtted it two times without asking, and the wrong way. It was only the helpfulness of the hotel staff that helped me get the room that I intended to, without gaving to pay double price. I’ll always book directly from now on, rather than via booking.com The only minor problem in the hotel was the odour of cig smoke at the lobby, and cig smoke neutralizer perfume in the room. I hate that. Smoking should be banned in Hotels entirely

The smoke alarm started to beep at 24h00 and continously for every 30 seconds, so we could not sleep. I suspect it was the battery. We reported it the next morning and the receptionist was very apologetic and gave us a complementary bottle of champagne. No coffee making facilities in the room

A historic building along a narrow internal courtyard but means for some rooms you have to go outside to get to and from the main part of the hotel (eg for breakfast). Not a problem in warmer weather but a bit chilly in a cold December.

Great location on the Hauptplatz, easy walking distance from everything and very easy to get there with the tram from the main train station. Nice old building and very helpful staff at reception. Good breakfast. Good wifi.
