When u are given such a tiny room u hope at least the TV works. This is the second time now reception needed fixing. There used to be a lounge room downstairs with a TV but now made into a room to make more money

    Good location. Reasonably quiet

Clean lovely heritage building, location was in walking distance to the Mater hospital I was visiting. Check in and out was easy. Parking price was reasonable (make sure you book as there is limited parking) bathrooms/ toilets and kitchen were clean and well stocked. Outdoor areas are comfortable. Staff were very friendly and accommodating.

There was a stain on the carpet of the room where it looked like someone died. Peeling paint and outdated features. Free breakfast was just instant coffee, bread and corn flakes. Can’t really rate the staff because we didn’t meet anyone. I wanted to store my bag here but didn’t really feel comfortable just leaving it in a communal living room with no one there.

Close to transportation. Other guests seemed nice enough. Check-in was smooth.

The breakfast could have been better. No fruits, no real coffee (just instant) and no variety of cookies/bread

I liked the building and its style, the garden was lovely and Peggy the receptionist was always very helpful and kind with us!

Not easy access from main attractions if you are on foot. One needs to catch a bus to the city. There is no receptionist in accomodation, its self serve which isn’t so helpful when you are new to the place

Clean accomodation, modern rooms . Plenty of washrooms

It was less heritage than we expected and more functional. It isn't a typical 'cosy' B&B and has a hostel feel (which isn't a problem as long as you expect it). There are no staff on site apart from housekeeping doing daily cleaning and changeovers. It was noisy on Friday & Saturday night with younger guests getting ready and returning from nights out in the city. Some guests were very inconsiderate in the early hours. On Monday and Tuesday it was totally quiet, so maybe bear this in mind according to your needs, especially if there are big events in the city. I think my only gripe was that there were too few hooks or shelves to put belongings while using the shower rooms or toilets. You have to take a towel with you from your room, and only two large towels were provided for our 4 days, a hand towel would have helped. I hope I come over as helpful rather than critical, as this was an ideal place for our short stay, and very good value.

We wanted to stay in accommodation that wasn't a super-modern tower block in the CBD and this fitted the bill at a good price. It was originally a doctor's house and retains the heritage exterior and tiled entrance hall. Communal spaces are modern and functional. It is in a fairly residential street, very convenient for transport and local shops/restaurants/pubs. We liked the neighbourhood feel and convenience. It was easy to get into the city by bus, with easy credit card tap on & off. We walked over the harbour bridge to the opera house for a pleasant 1.5 hour stroll. The room wasn't huge but we have paid more for less space! It was clean and comfortable, and by having seating areas available in both an indoor dining room and outdoor (covered) space, as well as modern kitchen facilities, it felt quite spacious overall. A kitchen cupboard is provided for each room, and there are post-its to label your food in the communal fridge/freezer. The complimentary breakfast of cereals, milk, and bread for toast was perfectly adequate - we could buy juice and anything else from local shops. The bedroom had a/c that was easy to figure out, a small fridge and a blackout blind. The communal bathroom facilities were clean and looked recently installed.

It's quite far away from a subway station. Also booking.com provided information that free breakfasts are included however in catalog that I found in my room this proved to be wrong.

Room was very clean and even bigger than I thought. AC was working really well. Neighbourhood was really quite.

The shared bathroom was quite small and cramped but all worked okay. Would be good if bathroom was a little bigger with extra toilet.

Great location, easy to find and check-in, checkout. Queen room with balcony very comfortable, clean and spacious. Had all I needed. Communal kitchen and share area excellent, easy and clean. Will definitely short list in future.

There's not much that I didn't like to be honest. The room was a little small, would have been nice to have a seat in the room. The side of the bed is against the wall so it was a little uncomfortable for two people.

The building and gardens were beautiful and very well kept. Nice and quiet. The ability to book parking. Very clean facilities. We loved the outdoor patio seating, it was a great touch. Good location near to north Sydney station and some lovely cafes in walking distance.

Communal shampoo missed being refilled - had to request refill. Took more than one follow up to get the extra pillow I’d requested via email (and was assured of)

Convenient, clean, quiet, air-conditioned, plenty of showers to guest ratio, good kitchen facilities, great showers, comfortable beds, very easy check-in process.

The shower head is slightly loose, doesn't stay upright unless water is on. Pull out sofa was quite hard and seemed to have a beam sticking up in the middle of it. Otherwise, we had no issues with the property.

Very cosy, yet not a cramped feeling in the studio. Still enough space to comfortably move about. Very easy check in/ check out process. The nature of the lodge feels very homey, unlike a hotel that follows stricter procedures. Nice facilities, good air conditioning and included breakfast was very helpful during our stay.
