Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

Booked via booking dot com and booked a twin bed room. Received email after saying this was not available. I booked elsewhere as this did not suit. I was disappointed with booking dot com as we requested a twin bed room and i paid at the time of booking. Still pending refund . Lesson learnt. Book directly and don't use booking applications. Not hotels fault, but reflects on your hotel. Would appreciate a refund. Booking dot com was fast at taking the money, still pending

AustraliaThis is not a 4 star hotel and does not reflect the pictures on the website. The hotel is run down and has a funny odour to it. We stayed for 6 nights and did not have one room service - had to empty bins ourselves, ask for clean towels, ask for coffee refills etc. The location is a little out of town but handy for anyone needing to visit the hospital. The staff were ok but definitely could have been more helpful. The place needs a refurb as we had tape holding the bath together, rusty old wall hangings in the bathroom, bedding was old and the furnisher is tired and worn looking.

AustraliaThere was a bit of a mix up between the booking agency and the motel regarding the amount of beds we needed but everything turned out ok in the end.
Fabulous location. Within walking distance of the city. Plenty of restaurants and food outlets nearby, including a small supermarket and liquor outlet. Plenty of public transport nearby. The service at the Grosvenor was exceptional and the staff and host were very friendly and helpful up to and including organising cabs for us and also pick up and drop off to Kuranda Train tour. We only had to ask the question and our needs were obliged.

AustraliaI arrived at the property at ~6:10 pm on a Monday. There is a fence and no way to enter the property unless you know the combination for a padlock. Nobody at reception either so I tried to shout to get someone to open but nothing. I had to wait for 20 mins until a lady entered with her car to get inside the property. At the door of the closed reception office there was a paper sign providing three phone numbers. The 1-800 number provided is out of service. The local number provided is for the office (which was empty so didn't help). The mobile number provided was not answered. After more frustrating time trying to figure out what to do a resident passed by and told me that there was a box where I would probably find my keys. He was right. I got the key and a 1-day password for the WiFi in an envelope. No one had told me about the procedure or sent me an email to let me know that the reception would be closed. The next day I mentioned the situation to the person in reception and he just told me that I should had called them. The fact that none of the phones were usable did not matter to him. I also had to pick my daily WiFi password every morning and sometimes there would be nobody in the office and the manager would not pick up his mobile phone (wait 20 mins....). The hotel has free undercover parking and the instructions say that you will be provided a remote to open the gates but it is not true. When I asked for a remote in reception they told me that there was none. The hotel is really far away from the city center although there are some restaurants around. Overall, not a nice place with not a nice management. You will be better off paying little more and staying in a real hotel in the city center.
The room was big and the internet was fast. That is pretty much all I liked.

AustraliaRead above Sam is a complete scam artist lying through his teeth on every occasion he speaks. I will be taking further to the small claims court seeking a full refund we didn't stay at the Grosvenor thankfully can only imagine how bad it would have been as Sam told me the rooms were better at the Aspect central. My room had mould,rust,smelt very bad Was noisy and had no view!!
The fact that Sam scams your business is a joke. Putting people up at the Aspect central and pockets the difference after cancellation Off the cheapest booking just read all off your other reviews. I was never rude or abrupt to any members off the Grosvenor nor the Aspect central but was still asked to leave.good thing i rang the police and booking.com the day before. I'm sure you will continue to get the same reviews until the scams are stopped.

AustraliaHaving booked and paid for 4 nights accommodation on 31/7/22 in a studio apartment upon arrival Manager hadn’t booked us in. Manager was pleasant enough but unfortunately not up to scratch with his administration. He did give us 1 night in a very comfortable 1 bedroom apartment then did a deal with motel next door for 3 nights which was terrible and very below our expectations. Being school holidays we were lucky not to be homeless. So disappointed, very sleep deprived due to bed quality and noise levels. All in all it spoilt our holiday. Word of warning to prospective guests to ring hotel after booking through agent to confirm stay as this also happened to another couple we met there. In fairness, Manager did allow us pool usage for our remaining days. Could not recommend him or the venue.
The 1 bedroom apartment was good. Didn’t have breakfast. Location too far from town.

There was no hot water. The manager did not advise of this fact. Apparently they’re having issues with it. I was never offered the code for the free wifi. Will never stay here again

Australiai guess the rooms and outfits are getting a little dated - still functioning well and clean but are getting dated- and also the climb up the stairs is a bit much for us oldies with luggage- and their being no aircon in one of the rooms was a bit of a surprise
we had requested two bedroom apartment and was very pleasantly surprised to see not only 2 bdrm but 2 complete separate apartments with and adjoining door- location was easy and parking easy- rooms were clean and comfortable - the service of the manager to help us with our baggage and any questions was outstanding

AustraliaWe booked an apartment with a balcony which the property doesn’t have. It was dirty and in bad repair it had a terrible smell to it. The first thing I did was clean and spray. The cleaner came in twice in 10 days and all she did was empty the bins. The location is poor it is in a very undesirable location I would not like to walk in that area alone. It is probably the worst accomodation I have ever stayed in and definitely the worst I have booked via booking.com
