Advertised that we would have a balcony which doesn't exist at property. Mini fridge crazy small for family room.

The beds are way too firm and the noise between rooms is not good. We could hear every tv, and conversation in the rooms above, below and beside us.

The location on the lake is really pretty and peaceful.

The noisy air con unit. It was so noisy you couldn’t have a conversation on the patio. Bath filled up with water when having a shower even tho the plug wasn’t in. Inadequate drainage. Very small balcony/patio!

Small fridge was on floor & had to get down on knees to access fridge & use a flash light to see in. complained to staff and they moved it up on the table which was much appreciated.

Location was excellent, just beside the Kootenay Lake, and within walking distance from a beautiful park and a large sandy beach. Lots of options available for shopping and restaurants close to the hotel.

Rooms a little dated for the price we paid. bathrooms had old wallpaper peeling off, and rooms could do with a lick of paint. Restaurant/bar closed at 9pm sun-Thursday which we though was very early for peak time middle of summer. One member of the breakfast staff was particularly rude and unfriendly, they were short staffed but the rest of the staff were absolutely fantastic. We noticed jobs being done while we were there, such as replacement deck furniture and fountain cleaning which was great that they are proactive. So we hope it’s a case of ‘work in progress’ and the above issues will be resolved.

The hot tub was out of order. And of course due to the Covid a shortage of staff which is happening everywhere! But we were not affected by it.

Location was excellent. Right in front of the Lake and next to a mall (which was not noisy)! Within walking distance of the main street (Baker Street) of town. There was also a delightful old fashioned Tram which went from the Hotel to Lakeside Park. Big sandy beach! Lake is clean and fresh...on the cool side. We took advantage of the indoor pool, which was great. Can't beat the beauty of the Kootenay area!

We've booked several hotels through booking.com and have run into many problems. Our room was oversold, no pets and charged extra, no cats and charged extra, or surprised we were bringing a pet at all...I've read every bit of Fine print, talked to staff at hotels, corresponded back and forth for weeks with hotel and booked months in advance and still there are problems when we get there. I used booking.com because there were a lot of filters I could use when selecting the right hotel, but in the end, I wonder if you just put that all in just to make the booking, but it is just about every hotel a different story when we got there. They all said it was booking.com not vetting policy of hotel, specifically (Canada) not just overarching parent company (USA). Booking.com needs to do a better job at filters and accuracy of information. For example, how can my booking.com reservation say balcony with a lake view, but the same reservation at the hotel says city view and facing the parking lot??? I've been on the road for 14 days and lost hundreds of dollars due to "differences" on my reservation with booking.com and the actual hotels information of my reservation. Will booking.com compensate me? I have receipts including the extra hotel that was double in price that I had to scramble to find at 2am because the hotel was overbooked.

We were able to switch rooms as the booking.com reservation was a family suite with a balcony and lake view. When we got there, it was facing a parking lot. They didn't have the family room but we were able to switch to a lakeside double, so it was ok and we brought our own camp mat from the car.

The hotel is in an amazing location. All the balcony rooms have lake view and a nice walk by the lake after dinner feels satisfying.

I hate to mention this because so many businesses are suffering staff shortages, but the restaurant was a disappointment. The food was good and reasonably priced, but long, long waits for service. Too bad.

The hotel was very comfortable, and the staff was excellent. The rooms were clean, and the beds were perfect. They even had electric bicycles available for guests.

The restaurant needs to be prioritized for staffing. It’s so wonderful to sit by the water steps from your hotel room- but they were so understaffed, the wait time was unreasonable and the food was marginal. They were so sweet- and it was clear they were hustling- and so many places are short workers- we do understand. But- if staff could be prioritized there, it would literally be the most ideal stay there by the lake. Lastly- on the topic of the restaurant, there was a young, Asian waiter there each day and we watched him handle a large group of drunk, rude men with such grace and patience. He should be commended!
