Perhaps the size of the room with two beds was a bit smaller than I had hoped - was sharing with a friend. But the rooms were clean and cozy, and with balconies, and had the very best views.

Owners and staff - Jeannette was friendly, cheerful, kind, and accommodating, as were staff. Jeannette even kindly gave our sleds a lift in her buggy because they were very heavy and awkward for us to carry. They accommodated us in the restaurant for dinner on a busy night even though it was very late (and the food was great). Location was quiet (on the far end of the center of town - but it's a very small town, so it's not really far), very close to and convenient to the train station, and our rooms had incredible views.

We liked everything. Would've liked to have an in-room kettle to make instant coffee or tea but it's not a big deal.

Fast check-in, friendly welcome, spacious family room, clean bathroom and beautiful views from the balcony. Good choice of buffet breakfast. The hotel is located at the end of the village but close to the train station.

Nothing I didn't like.

Breakfast was good and we could eat as much as we wanted. The room was a good size for two persons. The small outdoor spa at the local sports complex a short walk away was really nice for soaking in surrounded by mountains, But our room had no view of the mountains for which we came a long way for. Murren itself is a pretty village with very beautiful traditional houses AND no traffic!

Hotel Alpenblick is about as good as it gets for travel. Quiet location in a not too touristy town, authentic and charming hotel, comfortable beds and room, great hosts, excellent restaurant with regional dishes, reasonable pricing.

No lift. But that was not a problem. We would have liked a kettle in the room for tea. No other negatives.

Jeanette answered my pre-visit questions quickly and accurately. The view was exactly as she described, and was greatly appreciated by us from our balconies. We asked for adjacent rooms, and the request was met. The location is convenient, yet outside the busy area. There is long-term construction in Murren. This hotel is far from that area, and does not experience noise from the construction. Hotel Alpenblick is a great launching point for exploring the BO. We would stay here again when visiting lovely Murren.

Just be aware that there is no lift (it is a “fitness” hotel - we were on the fourth (top) floor and glad there weren’t any more!). Access to tea and coffee making facilities (e.g. putting kettles in the rooms) would take this hotel up a level. We were aware of both of these in advance, but just think they are worth noting.

Great location very close to the BLM station. Lovely views when the clouds weren’t down. Janet was very friendly and helpful. Fantastic selection of homemade jams at breakfast.
