How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

For a 4 star accomodation, the facilities are below par. There are a bunch of things that were annoying but the biggest of all is there is no place inside the shower to place ur soap/shampoo. Can't expect ur guests to hold them on place them on the floor while showering.

No arabic tv channels except one bad channel

Water temperature of shower is a bit unstable, but not yet annoying.
Staff are nice. Room is clean. Close to coop supermarket and Oerlikon train station.

Fruit in breakfast buffet was not fresh.. Better have fake ones for decoration purpose.
Good service..especially Nicholas at front provided all information needs. Location is not far from Zurich center.

3rd bed in the 2 bed-room room that was provided was not very comfortable.
Location, cleanliness. Accessible by public transportation. Decent breakfast spread. Parking facility available which is cheaper than the other nearby options. However they have only 3 spots and the availability can be checked only upon arrival.

Would have loved a minibar in the room The drain of washbasin was not upto the mark, water took too much time to flow out
The best thing I liked is the location, Its not center of the city, hence it was peaceful, Train station is just 5 mins waking, Bus station is right in front Second is the room, which was spacious, clean and well lit, huge window provided good amount of light into the room Staff was very helpful, provided all the answers to my queries and always ready to help and very soft spoken Food we did not opt for, hence can't comment

The hotel rooms have not been recently renovated. Possible to see a few scratches, dirtiness here and there. However, the everyday cleanness was good.
The breakfast is very good, eating area is stylish and renovated. It is nice that you can find a lego/toy box for kids to play while parents are enjoying a slow meal. Location is nice, close to the center and easy reachable by train/tram/bus.

2.00pm check in too late and no rooms ready for earlier access. PARKING charges are extortionate.....overnight was 52.50 Swiss francs. The hotel should offer a reduced rate. Would not stay here again for that reason

my room was a bit noisy, I was not expecting so much road traffic and the air conditioner also noisy ( I switched it off completely ). I guess the rooms not facing the road will be very quiet.

The room, especially the bathroom, was a bit old.
Comfortable, close to the train station, breakfast starts at 6.30 and is good. Provided a crib for free.

Breakfast was excellent wiht plenty of choice, staff was easy to deal with at both check in and checkout, and well versed in English. We liked the most comfy king size bed, had the best night sleep. Also, extra cod provided for our 2yo was ready and waiting for us.

For a reputable hotel like Marriott, I was rather disappointed that they had replaced the ceramic coffee/teacups with paper cups and there was no glasses provided for water if one needed to drink water. No nespresso machine for coffee, just an electric kettle to boil water and some nescafe coffee sachets and plastic stirrers. No room slippers provided as well.
Room was large and Bed was firm and comfortable. There was a small cooler box in the room but it was not working. We informed the front desk person who offered to move us to the next room. Thank you.
