With cases having to be put on the floor and nowhere to put clothes and luggage rack and shelf with hanger rail would have been useful but not a deal breaker. We would stay again if passing through.

A quirky stye of hotel with set meal on shared tables which we found interesting. Discussions developed with other guests which probably wouldn't have otherwise which we liked. Room was quite small with very little in the way of storage and hooks. The room could easily have a shelf fitted with a rail which would have made everything more convenient but not a complaint. Comfortable bed, Good breakfast and great position for travelling over the Alps via St Bernard tunnel. The car park is secure - probably 150 mts walk through gardens to the hotel.

Room was simple but new and immaculate. Comfortable bed and soft pillow. Also, although it’s next to a dual carriageway, the rooms look away from the road so they are very quiet. There’s a wonderful peace to the place.

Converted religious institution which appears to be still run by the church. Sparsely decorated. Religious symbolism on walls, whilst no problem for us, may cause some unease with other guests unaware of the links to the church.

Location. Free parking (even though a reasonable walk through the garden to get there).

This hotel is run by the Franciscans and offers a warm welcome and simple rooms. Nice communal breakfast in the morning.

The rooms are not air conditioned or equipped with air fans. Although it is not important to me but there is no TV set in the room.

I was traveling alone for business requirements and have my own car, The hotel staff, location, Building and Room neatness all was good and I found the premises in general matches my needs for a comfortable, convenient short term solo accommodation. The room bathroom was very clean and i think it has been renovated as well as the floor of the room. Generally everything was clean. There is a COOP supermarket just 300 meters walking distance from the hotel. Because I have my own car I found that the location of the hotel is convenient for reaching many well-known places in a convenient timing such as 25 minutes to Montreux, 12 minutes to Martigny, 25 minutes to Port-Valais, 29 minutes to Sion, 50 minutes to Evian-les-Bains, 70 minutes to Chamonix, 63 minutes to Gstaad. Finally I would like to thank Mr. Joseph Madanu. And all his colleagues Veronique Abbet, for their welcoming and cooperation and efforts to make my stay comfortable.

Pleasant hotel in a quiet area with private free parking. The hotel has pleasant and helpful staff. The rooms are simple, but provide sufficient comfort. Free WiFi is available in the hotel, as well as vending machines and fridges with drinks. Everything is within walking distance. ...the hotel staff is amazing.

Breakfast is shared between all guests, and if all live up to the ideals of Franciscan hospitality that goes very well and makes for an enjoyable start of the day - meeting other spirits, getting to know one another in an atmosphere of sharing and understanding. This time I met some guests that were not open to that kind of meeting though, and it set the mood of the day for me. Or maybe it was a reflection of my mood from the start. Also, this time the Hôtellerie was booked at capacity I believe, and there was some noise at night that disturbed my rest. Of course this was not the fault of the Hôtellerie though - but maybe some guests were more attracted by the low room rate than by what the Hôtellerie is. Not that that's wrong, but it would be nice to adapt to where you are a guest.

This was the second time for me at the Hôtellerie Franciscaine. The first time everything clicked and added up to something magical, and that experience proved impossible to match. Still, the facilities are great, the rooms are perfect if spartan, and staff is super friendly and understanding even if your needs don't match their schedule. And every time you walk from your room to the parking lot, you pass through the perfectly maintained vegetable garden, that makes you wish you could've signed up for full board and get a taste of the wonderful looking produce.

Double beds would have been nice, we did not have cleaning or towels changed after the first night, and the vent in the bathroom was quite loud while it was on.

The room was comfortable, staff were helpful and the location was perfect for what we were looking for.

We lacked a kettle to boil water in the room or in the corridor (you can only make tea in the machine for a fee).

Modest, but really clean and well-kept rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful, the breakfast was very decent. A good place not only to stay, but also to take care of your own spirituality (if you are interested you can participate in the prayers led by the Franciscans in the chapel).

The young lady in the breakfast room (with glasses), had no kindness, did not look at you, barely answered questions, in short: no communication skills! The breakfast buffet was generous, the coffee good, the selection of foods very adequate. The breakfast room looked like a school canteen, it doesn't have to look like a restaurant but it needs a prettier look!

The room was great, except very bad pillows. The staff at Reception was kind and courteous and gave good information about the area.

If you have south facing room, an air conditioner is missing on the top floor. In summer a fridge would be nice, at least a common one on the corridor. It's only a minor thing to be improved.

All in all good price, it's a nice and quiet area, good location in the town and the parking is free in a quite closed parking lot. Hot meal is possible all time in a day.
